"It's a delicate process. If you are truly troubled by what people would say, I can make them forget," he said, studying her face.

She stared back at him, looking a bit hesitant. "Is that even ethical? Erasing someone's memories?"

"It's not, but who is going to stop me," he said, his grin reappearing, and Aurora rolled her eyes.

Her gaze shifted down to his chest, realizing all the bandages had been removed. The deep wounds from yesterday had disappeared, leaving behind only scars. Aurora looked up at him, her eyes filled with curiosity. "How did your wounds heal so fast?" she asked, genuinely surprised, recalling how deep and gruesome his injuries were the day before.

"It was your blood," Azrael said nonchalantly, sitting up.
