Chapter 99: Chapter 98

Aurora struggled to control her emotions, knowing she was being irrational and that Mary was only trying to look out for her and her brother. But she couldn't shake the feeling that Mary was pushing her towards something she wasn't sure she wanted.

"You are not listening to me!" Aurora burst out, her voice cracking as she spoke. Each breath felt like she was being drowned by a sea of emotions. Trying to catch her breath felt like the air was being sucked out of the room. "I have told you, again and again, that I don't know if I love him. But you keep pushing me to just give it a chance. Why can't you just respect my decision?"

"Because I do not think you are making a decision based on what's best for you," Mary said, her voice dropping to a whisper. "You are letting your fear get in the way."
