Azrael's eyebrow arched in surprise, a bemused smirk playing on his lips. "It seems I have uncovered another one of your reactions," he remarked, pulling back.

Aurora, feeling slightly flustered, quickly rose from her seat. "Excuse me," she said, picked up a lit candle, and rushed towards the door, muttering to herself as she quietly shut the door behind her.

Azrael watched the door close. He slid his tongue around his sharp canines before letting out a sigh. Strolling towards the bed, his gaze lingered on the book she had left on the dressing table. For a moment, he was tempted to pick it up, but he resisted.

He lay on the bed with his arms crossed, waiting patiently for Aurora to return. Minutes passed, and she still hadn't returned; she was taking longer than usual.
