Five days ago:
"Training is canceled for today. Something happened; I have somewhere else to be. I am sorry, I can't give you details."
Those were the last words Azrael had said, walking away, leaving Aurora by the trees. "Don't look back, don't look back," he whispered to himself. His hand ran through his hair, and as he walked away, he could still sense Aurora's gaze lingering on him, causing his body to tense further. "Don't look back," he muttered. He couldn't bear the look on her face.
He felt frustrated that he had done what he did, crossing his boundaries, something he had never done before. How would he face her again? She would hate him, he thought. She would think he was a monster.
'You are not a monster, remember that.'
