Chapter 110: Irine (2)

He fired off another diamond beam, both attacks clashed in midair, causing a massive explosion. Omi was already under Irine's arm with the close quarters combat. It was not as effective as before as he was constantly being beaten back and he couldn't block with his staff as he would end up losing it.

He got creative by having spikes made of light particles pop up all over his body randomly. Her defensive aura blocked most of them, but a few got through. Her aura wasn't as powerful now as she had split it in two. It was a no-defense fight, attacks, and counterattacks only. Irine's defense was weaker than Omi's, as she sent a portion of her aura into the sword.

Irine also wanted to keep the fight close as light got more powerful when it has time to build up speed. She was not sure she could block a light attack from a thousand feet out without injury.
