Mid descent, Xasha spotted something from the corner of his eye.

He pulled the Ruler from his back and blocked. A green shadow slammed mashed into him at high speed, sending him plummeting from the sky and crashing into the mountainside. A ploom of smoke rose from the spot he landed.

He didn't even get the chance to release the breath that got stuck in his throat before he had to dodge another full-powered attack. Using the particle dispersal techniques, he retreated hundreds of meters into the sky.

He looked to the north, where he saw a group of men and women standing confidently atop what Xasha could describe as giant flying creatures. They looked like birds but had scales like fish, their wings looked like fins, and their heads shaped like a lizard.
