Chapter 205: Blossom

Xeik grinned as he watched Geld fall back with a burning hole in his chest. His grin faded as he watched Geld fizzle away like a lie and felt his aura disappear. He paused for a second, still trying to make sense of what had just happened.

He looked at Blossom, who was just as confused. The two of them raised their guards and braced for a sneak attack. Something was definitely off about the situation. How talented would one have to be to pass an avatar off as an actual person?

They were right to be cautious as 5 beams of concentrated Imperium shot from different directions toward them. Xeik created a sphere with the liquified Imperium, and Blossom fired off beams of Imperium to intercept the surprise attacks.

The attacks were easily deflected, but the attackers began closing in on them from six different directions. Among them was Geld, who had a triumphant grin on his slim face.
