"That's all you have to say about it?" Ana was flabbergasted by the nonchalance.

"What else is there to say?" Xasha looked over his shoulder to ask.

New gnashed her teeth in annoyance. "You take being extraordinary for granted. I didn't say anything before, but you activated an Imperial Art and combined with The Way while being an Earth Sage. That is unheard of, even in the ancient records that I hear of. You do not question that at all?"

"I'm sure that's also a consequence of my innate ability. It is not something I accomplished with my two hands. What merit is there in taking credit for it?" Xasha asked casually.

Ana froze for a second. Xasha's words were more of a shock than watching him consume an entire tower of knowledge in three days. His statement taught her more about him than she'd learned after observing him for months.
