Chapter 11: The Silencing Kiss
The guard pauses for few minutes and kept looking back and forth between us like he wants to smell our deceit. Finally, he lets us in.
Word must have spread around because we didn't encounter any other obstacle but only got directions to the Alpha's quarters.
I stop at the door to take a deep breath.
"Go in." Ariel nudges me
"Aren't you coming along?" I ask her apprehensively.
"Of course not. It's like your personal time." She clarifies and smiles at me with an encouraging face.
I raise my hand to knowck but then he spoke from inside.
"Just open the door." He spoke rudely from inside. I scrunch up my face in disgust and go into the room.
I have to admit, he has a nice room and ready to be laid on bed.
Jeez.
What the fuck am I thinking of?!
"What do you want?" He asked me in a beat up voice
I get my confidence and voice back after noting a thousand and one reasons why can't I live with this man. Or wolf literally.
"I'm here for one reason."
"I won't ask you why unless you say it yourself so continue." He interrpus me
Jeez. I detest being interrupted.
"I will talk if you don't interrupt me."
I can feel my anger begin to flare again.
He doesn't say anything but I can feel those eyes on me.
"Before you interrupt, I am here to reject you."
After saying the word reject. It felt like something was shaking in me. Like I was standing on thin frozen ice.
Alpha Damien's eyes turn into slits at my words but he stays there on the edge of the bed, still looking at me without saying a word.
And the fact that he is not even talking is more infuriating. Fine then. I'll just do what I have to do and make my leave after successfully severing our bond.
"I Crystal-" I started to say when I was interrupted not in a nice manner.
Damien suddenly gets up from the bed and in a second, I was pinned to the wall with his right hand holding both my hands hostage above my head.
"And you think I will let you? Without a fight?" He growls out his words with his warm breath fanning my face.
Alpha Damien lowers his face till his face is wandering too close for comfort on mine.
"I won't let you." He mutters and let's his lips fall on mine.
I froze.
