Theo’s pov
I stared at Aleia in astonishment, I don't know what has come over her lately. I know I offended her with my words, but this was her taking it to the next level.
She ran off without hearing the rest of the conversation between me and her father. I agreed to his suggestion at first, but later I felt like I had betrayed her. I was supposed to be by her side. That was kind of what she was paying me for. I appealed to Mr. Halls that he couldn't keep avoiding his daughter, she was only trying to look out for him.
He was stubborn at first, but I managed to convince him to talk to her, he could tell her that he still had some residual feelings about her arresting Kira. But in a way, that bitch had it coming for me. She spent her marriage tormenting her stepdaughter. She was sick.
