Chapter 40: Chapter ４０

      "So I hope you can reconcile with us. I promise that I will do my best to take care of her and our son in the future." He added, sounding very sincere. 

      I know that Dermon really didn't expect to hear those words from Haden, and he even lowered his stance to apologize? Is this the end of the world? I asked myself. I couldn't believe it either. 

      Dermon was taken aback then smiled. The anxiety and furious expression on his face were no longer there. I knew he would understand. After all, he only wanted what's best for me. His words, not mine. 

      "All I want is for you guys to be happy, and if you feel that your choice is the right one, then I will bless you too." He spoke, like a wise man. 

      The mood then immediately turned from dark to a light one. We ate and talked amongst ourselves. I'm really glad that we agreed to meet with him.
