Chapter 27: The Sky Calls Forth Embers Once More....

Ash and Aura were sitting across from each other. The tension in the room was heavy as they looked at each other. The other people in the tent could only be nervous about what was about to happen. They expected Ash to lash out and attack his older sister since they had not met since the murder of his parents. However, their expectations were broken when he seemed calm and smiling.

"Yeah, it's been a long time, big sister. Why don't you explain to me why you killed my parents and why you spared me that day? I already know you probably have a reason for all that. So I would like to hear your side of the story."

Aura smiled at how understanding her brother was. She was really worried he would kill her. She finally could say her side of what happened and why she murdered his parents. She looked at her cute little brother after years apart, sighed and told her story.

"Your parents were involved in a government project. They experimented with children's magic users so they could have multiple elements. There were only two successful test subjects who survived the project."

"I was one of the successful project attempts. My first element was space, so I could bend the space around me and create portals or even cut the space around me to cause devastating attacks. Then they injected a different type of mana into my body."

As Aura told her story, Ash nodded at what he heard, like he expected what she said. Others in the tent were surprised by such a project. Allie already knew about the project their grandparents were a part of, but apparently, there were other projects after that. So Ash's parents experimented on children to make them a more powerful asset to the government.

"They found another rare type of mana that went well with the element I was born with. I was injected with Time Mana daily so my body would get used to it and develop the element in my body. It was painful, and my body was on fire. They said the first successful subject's blood kept me alive since we had a similar blood type."

Ash sighed when he heard she was not even the first test subject. He knew what she would say. As soon as Mana awakened, he felt another type of magic in his body. It has been waiting for him to use it since the awakening. As much as he wanted to fly in the sky, he had to fight the wind and air calling to him.

"There was a boy with white hair and red eyes that shone so brightly. He was the child of the lead scientist on the project. He was the ideal magic user they wanted and a weapon that could destroy countries if they needed. They adopted me into the child's family so I could bond with their perfect first creation."

The rest of the ladies in the tent gasped at the explanation. It can't be that they never saw Ash use another magic besides his ember magic. There was no way he had another magic. However, it made sense since Ash's mana pool always seemed twice as substantial in comparison to theirs.

"My little brother Ash was their first experiment, and his original magic was not the Ember magic he had been using. You see, his blood was perfect because his first type of magic had multiple elements to it. His desire to want to be free on endless adventures was almost like his yearning for the sky. Well, it was true in some way because the sky always yearns for him."

Ash sighed, and above him, the sky moved around the area with high winds. The clouds rumbled with thunder and lightning. They could sense the weather around them becoming chaotic and not natural. They felt the air around them tense as they felt the heavy air of the incoming storm outside the tent.

"His first magic was weather magic, and his magic was one of the most dangerous types of magic in the world. He could cause natural disasters based on his emotions alone. It felt as though his magic wanted to protect and nurture him from all kinds of harm. His parents raised Ash to control his emotions due to his magic."

The rest of the ladies in the tent were shocked, but Allie seemed calm when she heard that weather magic was his first magic. After all, Allie knew a long time ago that Ash had magic since he was the first person he told about his magic and what he could do with it. He would make it snow for her often since it was her favourite weather.

"Ash's parents and the government were not satisfied with only two types of magic. So they planned to inject more magic into Ash when he was young. There was only a 20 per cent chance of success and an 80 per cent chance of death. I would not let them kill the only person I had grown to care about. So I killed his parents, and on the run, I started a cult to kill everyone involved in the project."

Allie was shocked by what she heard about Ash's parents. However, it made sense that they would do this since they always treated their own son like a tool and wanted results from him. They always wanted his grades to be higher than everyone else's possible scores than everyone in school. Ash looked at his sister with a small smile and, for the first time after many years began to cry.

"You know when my parents died I wanted to be mad at you and blame you for everything. However, I felt that you had some reason for what you did. I knew you cared about me so I just thought there had to be a reason why you did this. I am glad that I was right and that you actually loved me and did not want to kill me. I miss you big sis. I love you."

Aura could not hold it anymore and ran towards her brother to hug him. She cried when she heard that he really loved her. Even when she took his parents from him and was killed in front of him. He always had faith in her this whole time. She knew now that she had made the right choice by killing everyone in that project. She also kept her little brother safe the whole time.

Allie looked at the two siblings hugging with a smile on her face. She could not blame Aura for wanting to kill his parents. They would experiment on their own child to make him more powerful even though there was a likely chance of death. She would have killed them if she had known the same thing. Those are not parents. They are the scum of the earth.

They had stopped crying,ng but Aura clung to Ash. Allie was pissed at what she saw Aura cling to him like that, but she would let it slide. Stacy and Beth were happy that Lady Aura finally saw her brother again and tell her side of the story. They seemed to love each other.

"Well, I guess we have another member joining us at the house! Now I can have my Big Sister have fun with me in the mansion and we can be a big family! Let's take off sis time for you to join us on our next adventure!"
