Chapter 31: Fire Breathing Rabbit Is A Go!
Aura and Beth left the duo to explore their new rooms. They wanted to compare the size of the apartment to the penthouse they stayed at. Allie and Ash stayed in their section of the second floor. Ash was munching on some candy while Allie started to prepare the food tonight. They were gonna have some fried snake meat and french fries.
" I can't believe that we are actually gonna be the first people to be a food with mana in it. This is like the stories I read where the main character makes food with magic and it gives special effects! Allie, is it ready yet?!"
Allie sighed and smiled at Ash's cute behavior but he has been asking when the food would be ready for the past hour. He is cute most of the time but she sometimes has to hold herself back to backhand him for being annoying. She also now has competition with Aura and Beth who now live here and is part of the group. At least she has Eva at her side to help her out with this situation.
"Ash, I have been telling you for the past hour that the food is not done yet. Also stop eating candy before dinner. It is going to ruin your appetite for dinner later. Also make sure to feed Mr Wiggles some carrots before dinner."
Ash pouted as he stopped eating and went to get some carrots for Mr Wiggles. Eva showed him regular carrots and pointed out the new mana carrots. Eva reminded Ash to only give Mr. Wiggles one carrot that had mana since it anymore could be harmful for the body. This would also help Mr wiggles get stronger over time as he eats food with mana.
"Hey Eva, so how did you already make these carrots? We have only been out for 1 day at most. How did you even get these carrots to have mana so fast or even grow that fast to begin with. Also, could I have more information on what the 6th and 7th floor is."
Eva looked at Ash and directed him to a nearby wall, where she opened up two screens that appeared on the wall. On one of the screens, there appeared to be a lab dealing with animals and plants, and someone turned it on. They were being injected with mana or exposed to it in precise amounts. Some of them were dying due to the energy while others seemed to be taking in the mana fine and becoming stronger.
The 7th floor displayed a stunning garden and forest. It teemed with abundant wildlife and flourishing plants, radiating beauty and vitality. Strands of mana wove through plants and animals, alive. It assisted nature. It was a beautiful sight to see.
"Well Ash the 6th floor is the lab which I use to work on plants and animals and try and see if I can inject them with mana. I have discovered something else. I don't have a unique mana type. I can attempt to change my mana to any type, but it takes time. The time depends on the magic and its complexity. I discovered Life magic. It boosts plant growth and animal health. But, I won't misuse it.
Ash nodded at the logic of her actions. Eva can use various types of magic since she's not human. She's sentient mana with AI code. Also, Life magic has a balance in this world. Abusing it isn't possible. If you give too much life, death will also exist.
"Then we have the 7th floor which is the result of my experiments. This is the place where I have been putting all my successful and safe experiments on plants and animals. This base is an astounding success with an endless food supply. You can stay here forever without leaving for food.I can make upgrades to the whole house upstairs. I can make upgrades to the gate outside. Please bring more samples of dungeon creatures."
Ash nodded. He helped himself to the carrots provided. He even took the special carrot infused with mana. He couldn't stop thinking about the beauty of the 7th floor. It was vibrant and breathtaking, and he eagerly anticipated seeing it. He broke the carrots into pieces and put them in Mr wiggles' pet bowl.
"I made sure to feed Mr. Wiggles. He has a special carrot. It will help him evolve into a new form and breathe fire. Also wanted to know if the food was done because I am hungry and want to eat some snake again!"
Allie sighed when she heard Ash's question about the food. She had to endure so much to love this idiot. She would not have it any other way though. She got started setting the plates and the tableware on the table and the condiments as well to go with the fries.
Ash, if you keep asking if the food is done, I am going to backhand you so hard that it will feel like you are back in 2012. Also, the food is almost done and good job on feeding Mr wiggles. Also, we are not gonna have a fire-breathing rabbit in our house no matter what."
Aura and Beth were looking at the apartments on the second floor. These apartments were more than just ordinary apartments. They were penthouses that had a master bedroom a master bathroom and a walk-in closet. They even had a massive kitchen with a countertop and even a living room with a giant Tv. This was much better than most places in the world.
After inspecting their rooms, the duo returned to Ash and Allie's section on the second floor. Their area was larger and more extravagant. This is understandable because it was custom-made for them. Aura noticed that this place could save humanity alone with its capabilities. But, they had no reason to save humanity after all does humanity deserve saving?
"Little brother, we are back from checking out our apartments. They are amazing and pretty big. Also, we were wondering if dinner was ready yet after all we are starving. I hope Allie is cooking and not wasting time arguing with my little brother"
Allie and Aura glared at each other as she mentioned her last comment. Allie started putting the food on the table. Everyone sat down, ready to eat a delicious meal. Then Eva turned on the tv because something important was happening. There seemed to be no one standing on the scene on the news but you could see soldiers on the tv.
"The government is sending teams across America to fight monsters. They will also recruit powerful individuals and assist citizens. The state will declare anyone who refuses to join them as an enemy, and they will apprehend them. More updates are coming soon!"
