Chapter 6: Wedding Night

"We have a common enemy; shouldn't we work together?"

Hearing this, Maisie was taken aback. 

How could a man like him suffer the same fate as her? It didn't make sense.

Is it really possible, or was he just pulling her legs to drag her into his own problems?

Whatever the truth is, it doesn't matter now; she's already married to him, and she owes him her freedom. How could she doubt him?

If even this was a ploy to get her into trouble, there was no way for her to escape. She's deep into trouble already.

At this time, Zachary could guess what was going through her mind. Despite not seeing her face due to the darkness in the room, he could feel her anxiousness from where he sat.

The room was so silent that a pin drop would echo.
