Chapter 44: The Reveal

In the afternoon, Iris Hart made a point to call Nathan Ford. As soon as the call connected, she spoke in a voice so sweet it was almost cloying. "Nathan, why don't you come home for dinner tonight? I'll make your favorite dish."

Nathan Ford had initially wanted to decline, but thinking about what Chris Parker gave him, and the promise he had made to Ava Sterling made him reconsider, and after a brief moment of contemplation, he agreed.

"You're the best, Nathan. Oh, and don't forget to bring home a couple of bottles of red wine tonight. Love you~" Iris ended the call with those words.

After hanging up, Iris Hart put in considerable effort to prepare the meal and even applied a meticulous makeup look in anticipation of Nathan Ford's return. When the doorbell rang, she quickly tidied herself up and greeted Nathan with a beaming smile.
