Chapter 340: Hidden Motives

Natalie was still on her way home when she saw Director Li's call. Her heart tightened—could it be that Zoe and Ava had told him something, and now he was calling to confront her?

After a moment of hesitation, Natalie decided to answer the call. If Director Li was indeed calling to hold her accountable, there was no point in avoiding it now, only to face it later. It was better to deal with it sooner.

Even if she was eliminated in the next episode, she would still have to be on the show... A lot of thoughts raced through Natalie's mind in an instant.

"Director Li, is there something you need?" Natalie's voice sounded incredibly sweet and obedient.

"Can't I call you without a reason?" Director Li replied with a chuckle.

Natalie laughed lightly, her tone innocent but her words carefully chosen, "I'm just a bit surprised, that's all. After all, when I left earlier, you seemed... very busy."
