Chapter 53: Veils

The entire training grounds were enveloped in the fog of the ivory veil, a white mist that shrouded everything in its embrace.

Unlike the Crimson Veil, this fog masked Talon's presence even more effectively, cloaking him in a veil of secrecy as he prepared to test his newfound abilities. 

'Yeah, that's exactly what I thought, no matter what, I can see clearly in the fog that I create, but why couldn't I see through the mist in the Church of the Otherside?'

He had no time to ponder on the mystery of the fog as he held the wooden spear in his hand. 

As he moved through the white fog, his senses were heightened, attuned to his surroundings, as if he were in his natural habitat.

With each step, he noticed something unusual—a profound absence of noise. 

His footsteps, were usually quiet as he had to learn how to sneak around in the slums, one of the skills that he learned to survive the hell that was the slums of Dein.
