Chapter 117: Water jet cutter

Tobias didn't skimp on security measures. A man with a power to control metal bound Celina's and Xia's hands in solid heavy eight-shaped metal cuffs. Then they made the entire way to their prison with gun barrels at the back of their heads. Celina could see how twitchy their guards were, especially of Xia, and did her best to not provoke them.

The soldiers patted them down for hidden weapons before bringing them to a place that once, Celina guessed, was a bomb shelter. It hid deep underground, and the only lights within were the guards' crude oil lamps. The stuffy and dry air there reminded Celina of the time in the hidden laboratory Eve brought them to, and she had to clench her jaw to stop her teeth from chattering.
