"He will be arriving shortly," Eve replied. She walked past her sister and went to the table where the dishes would be served soon. "Vampires do not consume human food, Verina. What were you expecting?"

"Your sister was not expecting anything," Etessa interrupted. "We simply wished to converse with his highness in person. Considering that we will be leaving you alone in this Kingdom, by yourself."

"Oh…" Eve nodded. "Here is today's dinner menu. Please do not hesitate to let them know if you dislike any of the dishes." She handed over the menu that Trinity had provided her.

"Eve…. My daughter…" Etessa gazed at her, her focus on Eve rather than the menu. "I understand it has only been days since the wedding, but I am quite curious. Is the Prince treating you well? What if— "
