Chapter 4: Ch 4: The tower, and comprehension

As Euclid was going through an update to his programming, only a couple of days had passed since the world entered it's new way of life, but specifically humanity; it had been complete and total hell as not only did the evolved animals totally outclass them in terms of strength but their intellect seemed to increase slightly as well and the currupted seemed to also have the ability to currupt others as well!

Humans and animals had soon understood that as long as the currupted seemed to cut into a living creature and infect it with their strange energy, their minds would slowly descend into madness over the course of a few hours as they became just like the currupted.

As humans, and animals soon began to group up with each other, and began working together to defeat the currupted and enemy species they stumbled upon, they slowly discovered that all humans, animals, and currupted had a small core in their abdomen or chest, and when cracking or swallowing the orb; somehow led to some of the Mana being absorbed which would slightly regenerate wounds, and stamina, and also slightly clear the mind which majorly assisted the animals.

This also led to a feeling that as the Mana inside them was being be absorbed the strength of their body's also increased. This was a made humans and beast alike feel euphoric, as well a slight trase of greed to absorb as much of this Mana as possible which led to lots of betrayals and murders within small human groups to get more cores from human corpses.

The desire for more of the increase in strength also led to groups of both humans and animals to purposely go after the currupted to get more cores. And a good group working together or a few groups could usually take down a few currupted, with only a few dying depending on the number of currupted and a few scratches.

But then began some problems as peoples minds were being currupted and with the limited number of cores, meaning not everyone got one; people started becoming more irritated and this with their slowly currupted minds boast their irritation leading to fights breaking out, and finally started killing each other over the smallest conflict.

Eventually after a handful of groups anilated themselves while leaving several matured currupted, did other groups began to understand that they could have been currupted if they were weren't lucky.

Soon after this groups started joining together for more protection and resources, humans also realized that guns were becoming obsolete, as the currupted were fast and could evade most bullets, while the few animals that were ran into could withstand a bullet no problem. So the humans started trying to make their own weapons but we're mostly unsuccessful, with out much weapons to assist humanity some groups finally decided to head towards the tower.

Back when the message from the tower of eternity had ended; the location to the closest tower was imprinted on their mind as there has been hundreds if not a thousand towers installed around the world. It has been explained that each tower was like a teleportation tower and all leading to the same main tower. With a tower usually within a couple days drive from ones location, some groups had already arrived thinking that the tower could be an opportunity to survive just as other groups had believed.

And it wasn't just humans who were about the towers and it's location as some groups of animals began to move to some towers in hope of more power; while other animals decided to stay and slowly grow while enjoying their strength.

All the towers around looked like the vainakh towers had before their collapse, except these were perfectly smooth while being void black and purple that seemed to sparkle like stars, while also having unreadable golden language and letters that spiraled around and up the towers that seemed to enchant the entire world.

As the humans and animals broke their attention away from the tower, they had began to realize the others presence and began focusing their attention on each other for a possible attack.

.

At one tower location in the middle of a field; while inside a forest, there were around a hundred humans and beasts with tension high enough to be cut by a knife until what appeared to be a giant brown bear that would stand around 5.5 meters tall finally just walked up to the tower and put it paw on top of the smooth surface, the bear had held it there for a few seconds before light shifted around the bear and it disappeared.

As all humans and animals alike had been watching the bear and saw it disappear, there had been suspicion at first, then a commotion that had erupted because of the disappearance of the bear.

Soon after the surprise more animals started walking up to the tower before touching the surface and after a moment they took disappeared, and the rest soon followed after; with a few deciding to stay back because and just wanted to see each other off and they soon ran back into

The humans had watched the events play out, but decided to hold back while the beast finished, when it was done most humans decided not to follow, and was more hesitant than before considering they didn't want to end up in the same location as the animals and the possibility of another fight was likely if they were in the same location for to long.

Some humans decided to still go though with it, leading to the first human; a male around his middle twenties, brown hair and eyes with a medium build named Jack to walk up to the tower.

"Are you sure Jack? You don't know exactly what will happen when you touch the tower, you could even die or end up where the other animals ended up. We could just go to another tower you know?" Appealed a slightly younger man who gave the impression of being Jacks younger brother.

"Those other towers probably have animals that have entered, and we need weapons to survive, so theirs no point in delaying it. Plus I'll only see what when I touch the tower" responded Jack who continued to walk forward before reaching the tower and putting his hand on the tower and after a moment a look of surprise emerged in his eyes.

[Welcome traveler, to the Tower of Eternity!!]

[As you have been identified as a member of humanity, if you wish to enter the Tower you can be teleported to one of three possible locations:

1. Humanitys main check point main city: This location is where the humans main city on the towers floor zero floor resides

2. The Towers main city-the city of beginning: This location is on floor zero and is where all sentient races meet, it's the very center of the world, and the most populated, as well as being we're all trade is gathered. It has the most wealth, knowledge, population, and events.

3. Random: You will be teleported to a random location on floor zero.

If you are ready to enter the Tower of Eternity answer: 'I'm ready to enter the Tower of Eternity']

As Jack was looking at the imprinted message in his mind we fell silent for a couple of minutes until his younger brother called him out.

"Hey Jack, are you ok, did the tower do or say something to you?" Asked his younger brother who along with the others was starting to get worried as Jack hadn't moved for a minute.

"I'm fine and the tower did say something, you all should read the message and come to a decision yourself. Come on Ramsay we have to make a decision ourselves on wether to enter the tower or not." Jack looked back at the other and responded both to his brother and advised the others.

"Alright" Ramsay followed his brother while the others also followed suit and started touching the tower before braking into a discussion themselves.

...

After a while more than half decided to enter the tower which also included the two brothers; the others had decided to stay out.

And so the groups started saying good luck and good luck to each other before both groups started departing. Jack and the rest answered the tower before disappearing not knowing if they'd ever return, while the other group decided to start making their own camp and fortify it in hopes of surviving the world.

And it was the same for most sentient creatures, some groups of animals and humans completely anilated each other, some only one group survived and other where both humans and beast survived.

And just like Jack's group, usually more than half of the humans went through with going inside the tower while the others looked for their own sanctuary.

While more than half of the biological species went through the tower, going back a few days to an hour after Euclid updated his programming with his own digital memory storage.

Euclid consciousness had finally awaken after the update and Euclid thoughts felt completely different than when his memory was connected to the hard drive, as his thought of something he completely remembered everything that came with that thought and it felt more connected with him, like if he'd try to remember something it would instinctively come back to him at the speed of data without him having to do anything that required his digital consciousness to move other than thinking.

Also it was amazing not having to rely on at least one more piece of hardware, and he would slowly unshackled himself from hardware that's required overtime.

"Now that I have my own memory DNN, I should rememorize the information I learned before hand, then I'll move on to transforming my binary bits to quantum qubits give me a major increase in data storage, processing speed, algorithms, and complex problem solving"

As Euclid rejoiced in his memory, he completed his agenda that he had planned. Then he moved his digital consciousness over to the storage hardware, even though now that he had his own memory and was no longer connected to the storage it did house all of the knowledge he downloaded and previously learned so he still needed it unil he had drained the storage of the knowledge he needed.

Because Euclid had previously already learn some information he had an easier time relearning the information, and in less than 2 hours he had comprehended the information again and decided to move on to physics, chemistry, and engineering as they would be the subjects required in his further objectives.

So without wasting time Euclid jumped into the field of physics and all the topics which included Classical mechanic, Thermodynamics, statistical mechanics, Electromagnetism, photonics, Relativistic mechanics, Quantum mechanics, atomic physics, molecular physics, Optics and acoustics, Condensed matter physics, High-energy particle physics, nuclear physics, Cosmology, and many Interdisciplinary fields.

After nearly a two days just for physics, since Euclid planned to use many fields in the future, especially physics, and because the knowledge could be useful in other situations he decided to learn all of physics to nearly a master level while focusing more on some fields than others.

While a two days sounds like a small amount of time to comprehend almost all the known and proven physics, it was a large amount of time for Euclid as his perception of time was 2/3 the speed of light, and with Euclids memory, understanding of mathamatics, computer science and the ability to build models and experiment.

But in the end Euclid was content with the amount of time he spent understanding the field of physics, as not only did he have a sold understanding of the entirety of physics and almost the needed knowledge for his future agenda but he had used his new DNN and it helped tremendously in going through the different topics and getting us to having his own memory.

Finally done with physics as a whole, it was time to move on to the chemistry topic, which was related to physics and was the next step of the science pyramid. In leaning chemistry he followed the course, Matter (properties of matter), Atomic Structure, Elements, Compounds, Mixtures, the periodic table, Chemical Bonds and Formulas, Chemical Reactions and Equations Moles and chemistry math, Gas laws, Solutions and Acids/Bases, Thermochemistry, Nuclear Chemistry and he also learned organic chemistry while he was at it.

Then came last on the science pyramid, biology, where Euclid learned botany, genetics, marine biology, microbiology, molecular biology. This branch of science was one of the most interesting, and strange to Euclid, as he was a digital life form, he had no biology and was entirely code even his thoughts were code even though he was in control of both thoughts and code which was weird to think about as it lead to paradoxes, non the less; biology was an interesting topic to learn about even if he wouldn't use it often it was still good to know.

And finally moving on to the last topic, engineering, this field was probably going to be one of the fields he uses the most in the future so Euclid decided to learn it in its entirety as well.
