“I thought vampires have no reflections.”
“Vampires are essentially walking, talking corpses. We still have our reflections. Don’t you know anything about light and shadows?”
“Whatever.”
He chuckled at the blushing witch. He hadn’t had so much fun interacting with anyone in such a long time. He enjoyed teasing the younger man. It made him feel…alive. No pun intended, of course.
“So, Dylan, what can you tell us about this place?”
“Hmm, nothing at all, unless you count the puddles of urine and…some other disgusting stuff all over the apartment. I don’t see her spirit anywhere.”
“Okay.”
“Why hasn’t anyone cleaned this place up?”
“We were waiting for a witch’s assistance, so we disturb the crime scene as little as possible. We only took away the victim’s body for an autopsy.”
His gaze trailed after Dylan as the man was pacing around the area carefully.
“Hmm…”
“What is it?”
“Did the victim have any living relatives?”
