Prologue
Gods.
Beings of unparalleled power. Omniscient, Omnipotent and Omnipresent.
An mortals idea of a god is a being of absolute power. Perfect beings who fear none, as they stand on the top.
But this is far from how it really is, gods.. have just as many flaws as mortals. If not more.
In the deepest regions of the realm of the gods, lies a unassuming fissure in space.
Simple and beautiful, as if it is a broken mirror.
There are countless fissures in the deep dark regions of space, Yet this.. Unassuming fissure, terrify even the strongest gods in reality, like a boogeyman terrify little children.
Stories, Tales, Myths all are intertwinned about this mere fissure in the community of the gods.
Gods are capable of so much, and they have repaired countless fissures that has appeared in their realm.
But repairing this.. 'mere' fissure, is beyond their capabilities, much to their dismay.
This spatial fissure leaks something out into their realm, an 'nothingness' gods vaguely feel, but instinctly fear.
This 'mere' fissure, unlike all others. Leaks the void into the realm of the gods.
The bane of the divine.
Originally.. Before they knew their weakness to the void, this fissure inspired gods to traverse and explore where it leads.
As of that time, The energy of the void was new to them, and believing nothing can harm them, they braved forth without a care.
But their curiosity diminished quickly when they realised..
That Gods.. even Greater Gods that travel into the fissure, never returned.
And a spark of fear swept the community when they realised the gods that travelled into the fissure.. their life crystals in their respected clans broke into fine dust, indicated their death.
Fear, an emotion gods rarely felt, was prominent when that day onwards.
The fear of the unknown.
Only the brave gods, mostly comprised of the sons or daughters of the gods that vanished, desided to research this fracture, With the hope of figuring out how their parents died.
So they guarded it, created a fortress around it, to stop lesser gods endless curiosity, and to research the fissure in an stable environment, on their terms.
And so it passed, God clans rose and fell, yet this fortress had seen better days..
Its personel and which clan helt this fortress shifted over the countless years, or became an battlefield for some ambitious clans who believed the fissure lead to an pocked dimension filled with treasure.
Even at one point, the fissure became a executioner tool for criminal gods, rebels or even royals who had even fell to the rebel army.
In the end, karma came for the gods who uninhibitedly abused the usage of this 'mere' unassuming fissure, as one day.
It exploded.
And the day that the gods will come to name the 'Annihilation of the Realms' was upon them.
This 'mere' fissure endlessly expanded, devouring everything it came to touch with. Gods, kingdoms, endless worlds, Gods and Mortal realms alike..
It was relentless, unstoppable.
Everything was pulled into the unknown.
And little more than half of the realm of the gods and countless mortal realms was devoured by this horrifying expansion before it finally stopped.
So many worlds, and so many gods was pulled within, but the gods who successfully escaped the expansion before it was too late.. Saw it for a split of a second.
For the first time since the 'mere' fissure was discovered, all remaining habitants of the realm of the gods..
Saw the world within.
Horrifying twisted landscape expanding beyond a gods sight.
An endless bloody battlefield..
An world with broken kingdoms that exist for a fraction of a second before not existing at all, before existing once more.
Constantly shifting, endlessly.
Lesser gods with sense beyond the norm went insane, mind broken, shattered. Other gods felt their divinity endlessly shake, As if its about to break at any moment.
An twisted world and its twisted laws.
Eternally locked in time, and eternally flowing.
The world of the void.
