Chapter 1271: I will never blame you

Hino who had been silently watching her this entire time walked over to her and knelt. Hino took one look at the blade before picking it up. Unlike her, the blade didn't react to him. In his hands it simply looked like a regular blade.

Sumire grumbled how unfair it was. 'How can my own weapon turn against me like that?' Of course she knew the reason why. Feeding her blood sword with blood that wasn't hers was suicide. But, she wanted to conserve her strength.

She watched as Hino pricked her finger and dropped it on the blade causing the blade to retract into puddles of blood dissolving into nothing. Sumire cursed. Damn, she probably shouldn't have shown Hino off all people how to deactivate her sword.

As sweat and tears dripped down her face. Sumire struggled to get back up.

"You should return back to the inn. Do you really want anyone to see a purebred hanyou grovelling on the floor?"
