Chapter 85: Chapter 84- Our Cries [F.D.6] (3)

"One day left" Eve said as she looked at the book in front of her. The book itself records the current fight between Evelyn and the Eternal Flowers themselves. Although she's not tired, her mind just couldn't let go of the fact that tomorrow would be a war that she couldn't interfere in, making her worries even more evident. Although not shown in the face, it can be felt if you focus on Eve.
"Hmm? Did you say something, Eve?" Nepheria said as she seemed to have heard Eve say, 'One day left' although she does not know what it meant, but by the expression that Eve's face shows, it seemed to be no problem at all, as she still shows the same emotionless face that everyone would always see on Eve's face.
"Nothing, I was just thinking about what I would do tomorrow" Eve said as she stretched her body to reach the sugar cube at the far end of the table and took one of the sugar cubes and threw it in the air as she caught it with her mouth as the sugar cube melted inside her mouth.
"Now that I said that, I was thinking of wanting to eat some parfait" Eve said as she laid back in the chair while spinning around as if wanting to satisfy her, a train of thoughts, as she suddenly gained an idea that could at least make their chances of surviving higher, although everything is already set in stone by her child. But that does not mean she lost hope in changing the true future that her child had changed, although it might not be able to change the outcome. At least with this, maybe it could lessen her worries.
"Nepheria, can you call both of them? I want to give something to everyone" Eve said as she looked at Nepheria, who was actually reading the book that Eve had given her to learn some stuff that she didn't know yet due to her memories not fully returning yet.
"Is it a gift?" Nepheria said as she put down the book and looked at Eve with her brows raised.
"You could say that it's a gift" Eve said as she took another sugar cube and put it in her mouth for it to melt, so the sweetness of the sugar cube could spread throughout her mouth.
"This is a bit disturbing to think you actually gave out gifts" Nepheria said as she looked at Eve weirdly. As for the fact Eve was never known to give gifts other than her family, for her to give them a gift so suddenly is actually too weird, especially since she remembered one of her cycles tried to steal one of the gifts but was instantly decapitated every time and cannot be connected to his head for over 10,000 years, and it was horrifying as she was also thrown into the 'Pits of Heilm' and that place was filled with something everyone would hate.
"It's not a prank but a genuine gift. Now go get those two" Eve said as she sipped a tea while refilling it again, as she had already finished all the tea she had just had.
"Sure, but make sure that the gifts are wonderfully wrapped, okay?" Nepheria said as she stood up from the chair.
"Sure, sure, now go get them now, or I might not give the gifts at all" Eve said as she waved off Nepheria to go call them as she put sugar cubes in her newly refilled tea.
"On my way" Nepheria said as she ran out of the house, leaving Eve behind.
"Sigh, they're like kids these days. Well, let's just hope that they all survive the war that is going to happen tomorrow. Thinking makes me hungry. I want a parfait~" Eve said as she let her thoughts float adrift. As she suddenly heard a voice, she knew this voice, and she already knew that she'd been here for about a few minutes, just waiting for Nepheria to leave.
"Here a parfait" Elysium said as she gave a huge parfait to Eve, who just returned after letting her thoughts float adrift.
Seeing the huge parfait in front of her, Eve took the huge parfait and took a bite out of it, as she seemed to have suddenly calmed down as her thoughts were overloaded with sweetness.
"Thank you, Elysium, so tell me what brought you here?" Eve said as she took another bite of the parfait as the bits of whipped cream were left behind her cheeks. Elysium, seeing the whipped cream on Eve's cheeks, wiped it off with her fingers and licked it, tasting the whipped cream.
As Elysium's eyes seemed to suddenly turn from yellow slit eye's to that of a red slit eye's, making Eve scared a little as she knew who's eye's were those, it was her wife's eyes. Although she knew that Elysium was not her wife, she might have been accidentally bumped or looked at her wife to the point that her wife started searching for Elysium herself, and in the process, Elysium was affected by her wife. Although they don't seem to have met yet, those eyes and actions similar to those of her wife are indications that Elysium is being either hunted or searched for.
"Nothing, just a little visit" Elysium said as she shook her head as the red slit eyes suddenly returned yellow.
"Is that the truth?" Eve said as she took a sip of her tea.
"Can't you see the future? Why not look at the true future too and look for the answer?" Nepheria said as her eye turned red again. She then took the bowl containing the sugar cubes and let all the sugar cubes fall to her mouth, as it calmed her mind instantly as her red slit eyes returned back to yellow slit eyes.
"If not for your master, the true future could have been changed by me, by this very instant" Eve said as she refilled the sugar cubes in an instant by using essence.
"Hehe, it can't be helped if you change it. Something big would happen, and Master might go into crying again, as she failed again" Elysium said as Eve frowned upon hearing what just Elysium said.
"She's still at it? I would have hoped to at least use one of the cycles as a time to rest from whatever she is doing" Eve said as her frown even became even deeper and her worries even deeper as she took a sip of her tea.
"How long do you think this has been going on? Even before my existence, for what I remembered, master had done this for an unknown number of cycles already" Elysium said as she sat at the table and looked at Eve's emotionless face. But deep-down, Elysium knows that she is frowning.
"And that's why I want her to stop, even for a second" Eve said, as if determined to do it.
"And what would you do in her stead? What would you do? Hmm? ~" Elysium said as if insulting Eve, asking what Eve would do if she were in the position of her child.
"…" Eve gritted her teeth as if she couldn't speak, she knew how much pain her child was in and at least wanted her to rest, but just like Elysium said, if she's in her child's position, she is sure that she would also do the same thing as what her child is doing, no matter how evil they are, no matter how horrific, she will do what's necessary to do as the endpoint of all of what her child is going to do would always end in two choices that even she couldn't stop.
"That's right, you will be the same as master, so don't think you'll have a different answer than master, as there's only a single choice from the very beginning, because even if you create a choice, that choice will be the worst demise one could ever imagine" Elysium said as she spread her arms, with a big smile like a madman, but you could see tears falling from her eyes.
