Chapter 87: Chapter 87: Unexplained Sleep

I paced the wide, rough stone corridor outside the large, airy bedroom where Seth had placed Adam, arms tight around myself as I waited with growing anxiety for the three monsters within to finally tell me what was wrong with my friend. I shouldn't have been surprised there were healers among the denizens of the Mist realm, though the idea that some of the monsters who Chaos created had good purposes for mortals instead of foul hadn't really crossed my mind. After all, monsters were monsters, weren't they? Meant to cause strife or fear or use trickery to hurt and punish. I had no idea there were those among my subjects who had helpful skills, who spent their existence hiding from the ones they assisted simply because they looked like monsters.

It certainly made me stop and reconsider how I felt about my realm. And myself for that matter.
