Adam strode to meet me, hugging me tight when he finally came close enough and I sank into his embrace, feeling my sadness and worry and the dark that lingered finally break away and vanish at his touch.

I just needed a little sunshine, I guess.

He kissed me then, out of the blue, like he'd been thinking about it and planned it but didn't tell me because he didn't want to ruin the moment. Nothing could have, mind you. I'm certain as his lips met mine the entirety of Creation could have collapsed in on itself and neither of us would have noticed.
