'If being insufferable was the price to be with him—then I might as well try it once. After all, how bad can things even get?' Ari thought to herself as she knotted her hands in his hair. His tender locks were just as silky and smooth as she had thought. 

He had been right. He had always been right—she wanted him. 

With one of his hands knotted at the back of her head, and the other one tipping her chin up, Nicolai sucked on her tongue. 

Wild and crazy, it should have been enough to relay how this man was acting and yet Ari was enamoured by him. 

How could he make her ecstatic when she had never even felt alive in her own skin? She had believed that no one would care for her even if she was to die. 

Hated her very existence. 

And yet this man was fucking unhinged when it came to her.
