It was hard for me to remember if my father had ever hit me before. I don't think he had.

One long day had passed since the?incident. It was too long and my mom had stayed over at her sister's place which explained why she wasn't already shooting questions at me.

My left cheek burned and tears welled in my eyes again. I couldn't hate my parents but I was irritated.

I was disgusted at the fact that they would want me to divorce Eros just to make sure I married someone they wanted me to marry.

Well, that wasn't going to happen. Over my dead body.

"Mommy and daddy are going to stay together forever. And you? You'll be our first little blessing" I whispered, tapping my rapidly growing belly and felt Eros shift in his sleep.

His arm was thrown right below my breasts and above my belly like he wanted to make sure no one was going to take me away.
