She wanted to sit up but was too weak to do so. With barely any strength left, she decided to stay still on the chair. She acknowledged his arrival with an intense gaze. "Prince Nianmo," she greeted smilingly.

Her voice sounded calm, though hoarse. "Are you here for Yuanyuan?"

Before she could finish her sentence, he grabbed onto her wrist firmly and said, "I am here for you!"

Gu Xijiu kept quiet.

"Why didn't you tell me when you were poisoned?" Di Fuyi was irritated.

She could tell from his grip that his palms were sweaty. Gu Xijiu wanted to pull her hand back but was too weak even to do so.
