"Who the hell did this to you and where have you been?"  Mrs. Fanny asked Ken, holding his face and peering at the bruises that ran across it under the electric lantern. Ken couldn't stop wailing and ranting at the top of his voice whenever she brought the pieces of cloth which was drenched in hot water.

"You haven't yet answered my question," she persisted and put the cloth on his face as soon as it came out of the hot water in a cloud of vapor.

Ken wriggled his body as snake that got a machete cut. He screamed at the top of his voice, trembling and clamping her hands to stop her from pressing the cloth further onto his bruises.

"Oh my goose! What the hell! That is damn hot! I would have preferred to go to the hospital," said Ken gripping her hand and stopping her from touching his bruises with the cloth. "You are about to rip of my skin with that hot cloth," he nagged, squeezing his face in pain.
