Chapter 1: Chapter 1: I still love him and I'm not giving up on him.
" I used not to believe in love at first sight and I may say I still not believe in it... But up to now, trust me, I still can't explain this feeling but all I can say is that .... I love you Lian."

Some time earlier....
Two girls sat on a table opposite each other on a restaurant balcony. Basing on their looks, they didn't have any resemblance apart from that they were both so cute and they looked the same age. A person wouldn't confuse them for siblings though the way they interacted, they looked like they share much in common and had a strong bond.
With support from her brother, Lauren was blessed to have attended the best fashion schools in the capital. This had enabled her gain expertise and the passion she had for it made her land big contracts worth thousands of dollars because she was good at it.
Lillian considered herself not successful in life despite having everything she needed. She was from a reputable and one of the richest families in the whole of the capital and the country at large. She had wanted to take on and chase her dream and passion for music from a young age. However, she didn't have support from her parents. They had wanted her to inherit and take on the family businesses since they weren't blessed with a boy child. The lack and desire for a boy child by her parents had even influenced her younger sister negatively as she grew up as a tomboy trying to make her parents forget the pain.
Lauren one of the girls being a fashion and costume designer was busy designing a number of dresses while sipping on her juice at intervals. On the other hand, Lillian was busy on her phone with ear pods in her ears which made her oblivious of the other girl.
The place suddenly fell in a deep silence for a long time apart from the little noises from the waiters and other customers in the restaurant.
The silence continued for some time until it was broken by Lillian's chuckle. "Wow this guy is so good. I think I should get a collabo with him." Lillian said with a soft smile plastered on her face.
" You're just an upcoming artist who's not recognised. How can you even think of such." Lauren replied mockingly.
Lillian removed one of the pods just wondering what her friend had just said. However, Lauren was adamant in repeating her statement. Lillian remained staring at her with a confused look begging her to repeat what she had just muttered.
Seeing that she was not being minded, Lillian gave her a frown and decided to continue with what she was doing. Lauren looked at her friend with a taunt look seeing that she had given up on asking.
The two girls continued with what they were doing until a small smile appeared on Lauren's face. "Lian." She called out to her friend.
Lillian paused her music while looking at her friend who has now a soft smile while her chin rests on her left first. " What's wrong. Why the sudden smile." Lian asked with a confused look.
Still keeping her posture, Lauren asked her what her thoughts were about what they had discussed the day before. Lian's expression turned gloomy and while bending down her head, she fell into a deep thought making it evident that she wasn't really ready to talk about it.
Lauren looked at her friend with an apologetic look and muttered slowly." It seems you're not ready to talk about it now. Anyway I'm sorry for bringing it up. And besides....."
Lauren was suddenly interrupted by her friend who had just broken from her thoughts giving her an it's ok look.
" It's ok. And it's good that you brought it up again. Actually I'm not giving up on him coz I still love him." Lauren's jaws dropped after hearing what the girl had just said. Her reaction signified that she was totally shocked. After a few seconds, she broke loose fom her shock her looks turning from shocked to it's up to you look and slowly muttered. " You're kidding right????"
The silence continued as there was no verbal conversation because Lian had just nodded apologetically in reply to her friend indicating that she wasn't kidding.
The two girls remained oblivious of each other since each had gone back to their business.
Out of the blue, Lauren's phone rang and immediately she stood up and started packing her things in her bag completely not minding her friend.
" Where are you up to?" Lian asked inquisitively. "Ooooh... Almost forced the ghost out of me." Lauren replied while holding her chest with her left hand. " I'm going to pickup my brothers. Mind coming?" She added with now a calm expression.
A sad sigh escaped Lian's lips looking at her friend apologetically. "I knew it." Lauren interrupted before Lian could say a word. Lian then stammered slowly. " I.... I.... I wouldn't mind, but..... But....but..."
" But what." Lauren asked furiously.
Lian stood up from her comfort and just as her friend, also packed her things before softly saying while looking at her friend." I have a date with him."
Not saying any other word, Lauren turned to leave the place but paused in her steps before turning back and uttering some words that were barely audible. " Make sure you don't come back to me crying." She added now in an audible voice before turning and leaving the place.
Lian remained standing confused and just looking at her friend who was leaving with anger evident on her face.

Inside the car.
Lauren sat on the driver's seat with both hands on the wheel still thinking of what had just unfolded a few moments ago. Talking to no one in particular but herself, she uttered. " I can't believe after all that, she still has feelings for him??? Like really???"
She was still talking to herself when the door adjacent to her suddenly opened and in came Lian who made it a point not to mind her friend..
The car zoomed out of the place after sometime as the two girls were now smiling at each other guiltily.
