Chapter 1: Beginning

Sigh, Stars so bright, so beautiful in the night sky. Who tells them to start shining so bright. Who tells them to disappear when the sun starts to shine? Maybe one day someone will find out the mysteries in the endless night sky.

A light cluster was falling to the ground at a rapid speed. All over the land, people started to notice the light. Some of the larger sects started sending out people to find out what the light cluster was. "Get him a group of 4!" people shouted at a teenage boy running into the pitch-black forest. The group chasing the teenager who were all around 16 or 17 and were at the 2nd level qi gathering stage cultivators except for the boy in the front who was a 4th level qi gathering realm. While the teenager they were chasing looked about 14 and was only at the 3rd level body refining stage. "Why are you chasing me" the boy yelled back.

"We want the body refining grass that you found," Braidan Walker, the leader of the group yelled.

"Why do you need it? You all have already passed the body refining stage.

I need it for someone more important than you. Well to bad I'm not handing the body refining grass over to you."

"Then I will have to take it from you by force Ezra" Braidan yelled. While they were yelling

Ezra hadn't been watching where he was running, and in an instant, he found himself plummeting over a cliff into the abyss. As he fell and struck a stone ledge, a grim thought crossed his mind: no one would notice he was missing. Just as he thought he might be taking his last breath, a star cluster shot directly between his eyebrows.

He had no idea how long he was unconscious, but eventually, Ezra slowly opened his eyes. "Am I dead?" he wondered as he sat up, feeling the cold breeze of the night sky on his face. Suddenly, a voice boomed in his head, "Finish my legacy." Stunned, he clutched his head in his hands and then passed out again. It was as if a dam had burst; a flood of memories poured into his soul.

Back at the Crystal Mountain Clan, a 13-year-old boy named Aidan demanded, "Where is the body refining grass, Braiden?"

"It fell over a cliff, Aidan, so we didn't get it," Braidan replied angrily.

"WHAT! I need that body refining grass to break through to the 6th level of body refinement and have a better chance of getting into the Wind Spirit Sect like you did," Aidan said with a gloomy face. Braiden was at a loss for words, taken aback by his brother's attitude. Though their family spoiled Aidan with whatever he wanted, his behavior was shocking. Gritting his teeth, Braiden thought, Don't worry, brother, I'll find that loser's body and get the body refining grass for you.

Back on the stone ledge, Ezra opened his eyes again. "What was that?" he muttered. As he thought about it, he noticed his body felt lighter than usual. Looking at his hands, he was shocked to see that his body was covered in starlight. "What is this?" he wondered. As he continued to ponder, he noticed a bunch of new memories in his mind. When he looked into his soul, he saw star clusters of various sizes and shapes. He couldn't see through any of them initially, but then three smaller star clusters began to reveal themselves.
