Chapter 8: Chapter 8 Creation of the universe
Flustered, Pan Gu conjured a magical ax and landed upon the egg a mighty chop. The egg split into two with a thunderous crack. Slowly, yin and yang began to separate. Everything dark and heavy sank to form the Earth. And the rest, light and clear, drifted up to form the heavens.
But Pan Gu was anxious that the halves would close up again, and so he stood between the two halves to keep them apart. With each passing day, the sky rose 10 feet further above him, the Earth thickened 10 feet below him, and Pan Gu himself grew 10 feet just to keep up with the growing expanse and hold on.
It was a lonely and strenuous job. This toil, the conscientious giant endured for another six million five hundred and seventy thousand days, or another 18,000 years, until he was certain that the realms were finally stabilized. Then with a great crash, Pan Gu lay down and died.
An Ultimate Sacrifice
As the weary Pan Gu collapsed, a miraculous transformation took place: his final breath turned into winds and clouds; his voice into rumbling thunder; his left eye blazed into the sun and right eye gleamed into the moon; his hair and beard became stars of the Milky Way; his limbs and hands and feet transformed into great mountains and the blood running through his veins into flowing rivers; his flesh converted into fertile farmlands, his bones turned to precious gems and minerals; his teeth and nails became lustrous metals; the hairs on his skin burgeoned into lush vegetation, and the sweat from his extended labors fell as rainwater for the immortal world."
Dào Zhī Shàng finished the story frowned then sighed he knew Pangu is probably still alive just asleep or he might have already planned how to come back.
Dào Zhī Shàng then continued with a smile "The war between the chaotic Fiend Celestials the primordial fiend celestials and the Rakshasas can be considered the first era."
"The second era is the creation of the universe (the immortal world)in the universe"
"The third Era is the era of the mythical beasts since they helped Pangu and also helped him alleviate the boredom."
"The fourth Era belongs to the sages "
The fifth Era belongs to the Demon race and the demonic heavenly Court.
"The sixth Era belongs to the god race"
The seventh Era belongs to the descendants of Pangu.
The eighth Era is a draw between the descendants of Pangu and the Demon race
The ninth Era is a draw between the descendants of Pangu, the demon race, and the human race.
The tenth belongs to humans
The eleventh Era is a draw between the humans and the heavenly Court together with the dragon race
The twelfth Era belongs to the martial artists' humans
The thirteenth Era belongs to cultivators
the fourteenth Era belongs to the three sovereigns and the five monarchs
The sixteenth era belongs to the Xia dynasty
The seventeenth Era belongs to the Shàng dynasty.
The eighteenth era belongs to the Zhou Dynasty
The nineteenth Era belongs to the hundred schools or sects of thought
The twentieth Era belongs to the Qin Emperor and his dynasty."
Dào Zhī Shàng paused and then said "according to what I know history gets unpredictable after the Qin Emperor."
"Senior, can you explain what you mean by the Qin Emperor makes history unpredictable?"
"No, I will not, and make sure never to change the path of this history like bypassing one race got it?"
"Yes senior "
Dao Zhī Shàng continued "Keep your interference to the minimal with non-cultivators and don't even think of keeping one race in their throne for even one breath of time or removing them from their place a second sooner got it?"
The ancestor of great balance answered "Yes senior I got it"
"Now that you know everything you need to know will you injure your soul or should I do it for you? and be done in a hundred years five hundred maximum got it?"

"Now hurry up before Pangu proves his and the great way perfects its Dao of reincarnation."
The ancestor of great balance started to destroy a part of his soul. He could not bear it.
Seeing this Dào Zhī Shàng sneered "Humph sometimes I envy your fiend celestial race you are born at a high stage of cultivation and can stay anywhere in the chaos."
Dào Zhī Shàng then continued "But when I see how weak you are mentally then I am thankful 8 was not born as all brawn and no brains"
The ancestor of great balance felt like Dào Zhī Shàng was humiliating him. And said to himself a mantra to calm himself down. 'see what I will do to you when I surpass your cultivation realm. Since you can not do it yourself I will do it for you.
Before he even finished speaking he started destroying his soul.
"Don't worry even I can not destroy your whole when it reaches around three to five percent it will go into hibernation mode unless you personally stop it"
"Then even if wanted I could not kill you so stop making so much noise."
The ancestor of great balance started to make an even louder noise"please I beg you senior stop! just stop I will do it myself."
The ancestor of great balance would choose to be locked up any day of the week than go through this torture.
"You can not even handle this much pain?"
Everybody who became an immortal emperor had to go through this much pain let alone anyone who became a Dao immortal. let alone those who proved their Dao.
While he was speaking to him he was destroying the soul bit by bit
until he reached the point of almost destroying all of his soul.
The ancestor of great balance's soul only remained with 4.5 percent of the original soul.
"Alright I am done now I will give you a technique you can use to collect luck from others as long as they have a karmic connection with you this also applies to the heavenly dao."
"Do you have any more questions?"
Before the ancestor of balance could answer 'yes' Dao Zhī Shàng cut him off.
"Since you have no questions we will now watch the creation of the universe."
