Chapter 3: King's Gambit
I replied, "Sure I know how to play chess, Sona-chan."
"Don't call me that. Tsubaki bring the chess set."
"I gave you permission to call me Pat, Why can't I call you Sona-chan?" I whined.
"Shut up." Sona was annoyed.
Meanwhile, I enjoyed my dark coffee and Tsuaki brought the chess set. It was the classic black and white.
"Which colour do you want?"
"I'll take black."
"Okay, Let it begin."
*I started the game with a King's Gambit. Sona was a skilled payer but not more than Magnus Carlsen from whom I learnt chess and had beaten back in my days. Tal and Kasprov were legends. I wonder if She would marry me a human, according to what I know from the plot if I beat her. *
"You know, I always accidentally take someone's Queen and checkmate."
"What....no again. Let's do it again."
I said with a relaxed demeanour, "I could do it again if I want to, but what do I get in return?"
"What do you Want?
"I only want you." Leaning over the table looking at her eyes, while having my chin nestled against my hand.
"What!" Sona's face became as red as Rias's hair.
"Just Joking. How about this If I win again, You will take me out on a date."
"hmm.....fine."
I beat her again.
"Don't forget about the date, sona-chan." I said. Leaving the council room.
"Do you understand what this means? Sona-senpai." Tsubaki remarked.
"I perfectly understand what this means however we need to do a bit more surveillance on him. I see that he has something mysterious in him, that's why Rias had called dibs on him first." Sona replied curtly.
After that drama I roamed around the premises since classes finished by the time I had beat sona. I came across a club called Kendo club. A girl in keno suit approached me and said,
"Hey are you new in the school? If you are interested in kendo, you can join our club. My name is Karizaowa."
"My name is Patrick Blackwood. It is nice to meet you. I would like to test my skills if yo don't mind."
"No problem, you can come inside."
*I had been taught by a bona-fide samurai at Japan in the past, I wonder if my skills have rusted or not. She led me inside the dojo where a group of boys and girls were practicing kenjutsu. She told the others to make way since I was there to test the skills.*
"So, who will I fight against?"
"I would like to go." said a young boy with brown hair.
"Let's go"
"Wait, are you sure you want to fight against him? He is quite skilled and an award winner."
"It's okay"
*They gave me an dojo suit. Of course we had to use wooden swords in this fight."

"Begin!"
*I waited for him to strike first and he did. He stroke at my head but I evaded and stabbed him in the stomach, pushed him while at it. I went for a wide swing but he dodged and hit my shoulders. Chased him. Had to end this fight in round 1 otherwise I would be a disgrace. Went in for the kill but I didn't injure. He knelt down before me shocked at the results. Even I forgot what was happening all of a sudden and my instincts took over me. Need to improve on this.*
"A....and the winner is Patrick-san."
"It was nice fighting you."
Saying that I left the dojo and went outside. Wandering around I became lost and saw a trio of idiots peeking at the girl's changing room. I became disgusted,
"Hey! What are you guys doing!"
They became startled and said, "We were just enjoying the view."
A group of girls with with kendo sticks came running at the group screaming,
"Bloody perverts, die!!!"
A girl approached me, "You stopped them from peeking at us right? Thank you so much. Can I know your name? Mine is Random girl No. 1"
I thought this is a convenient situation and said smiling, "My name is Patrick Blackwood. Nice to meet you."
The girl became starry-eyed and ran away. Me being left alone headed for my home. It was time I put my gifts to some use.
*Turns out, the Learn gift was too op since I could learn Krav Maga in like 2 hours watching the bloody internet. I am not going to get any sleep tonight. I have to grind like a madman knowing the plot of this world. Let's see we have school at 11 AM and it is currently 7 PM. I have around 16 hours to grind. Let's do it.*
~The Next Day~
*Looks like having 5 cups of coffee didn't do that much help. But it was worth it I was able to learn many important things such as Latin, Probability (I can now calculate the success/failure of anything), Muay Thai, Pankration, MMA, Engineering (I have plans to make a Suit ) and... that's all I learn't. I am totally burnt out but I still have to go to school to maintain appearances. Oh yeah, Sona owes me a date doesn't she?*
