Chapter 264: Cheater 64 To the capital
The priests stayed in High Sand for a few days to preach to people and heal people from their injuries in exchange for their beliefs. They showed compassion and kindness to many who were destroyed by the cult and the former lord as they cried with gratitude and acceptance which was moving to Licht and others who saw them in a good light.
" We will leave now."
Theseus gently waved his hand to people who were bidding farewell to the priests as they gave a lot of food and items to express their feelings.
Obviously, the priests didn't refuse their goodwill as they accepted with smiles on their faces.
" Are all priests like you, your holiness?"
The young child asked with an innocent face despite looking at huge paladins with scary weapons like hammer and mace, yet he didn't show any fear because he liked being near them. They were kind and warm people who gave candies to them when they were free.
" Yes most of them, my child but remember there will be always bad wolves in the batch."
Horus gave a pendant to the child as he warned him to be careful of priests in the future, knowing the darkness of the kingdom. He saw many corrupted priests who dared to touch innocent with their filthy hands in the name of gods.
" Un, I understand."
The young child nodded cleverly, thanking the cardinal as his mother pulled him away to her embrace.
The priests and paladins finally bid farewell to the citizens, moving back to their ship as they sailed up to the capital where they would wait for their next mission. However, this time was different because there was a group of people following them to the capital.
In the guest room
Licht looked outside the window with a complex face because this ship was moving so fast that it felt like he was traveling with a high-level individual.
" This ship is a special case. It can go faster than this and it can even use the warp gate of the advanced city which is puzzling. Perhaps they are connected to the advanced city through some connections that we don't know but you have to know this ship is a thing that can destroy entire city."
Agam spoke with a serious face while looking outside to gauge their current speed. Honestly, he knew more than this but he didn't speak anymore out of respect. This ship wasn't just fast and powerful, it also had defensive features that gave it the name of the moving fortress of the holy kingdom. Furthermore, the crew members were the elites of the holy kingdom, thus making it almost impossible to take down.
" Such a great creation. What would happen if it falls into the wrong hand?"
Cynthia asked with curiosity, tilting her head to show her feelings. This made both Qattara and Agam quiet since this was the worst situation that would happen.
Knock, knock*
They heard the knock on the door as Leah opened. There was a young paladin who was looking a little nervous because he was told that he was meeting VIPs of another country. Moreover, he heard most of them were advanced fighters and mages, so he was also kind of scared.
" The lords invite you to the dining room for dinner. They said they would reach the city tomorrow and you should have a good dinner because you will be busy after reaching the capital."
He passed their words to Regina who was racking her brains to figure something out from their faces, but no matter how hard she tried to think of ways to open their mouth, there was nothing.
" Thank you for the courtesy. We will attend the dinner."
Licht agreed on behalf of her whom he saw busy at the moment. She was feeling frustrated after the last incident and she seemed to be overworking despite her exhaustion.
The young paladin bowed to Licht and made it back to his quarter as Licht looked at his back with a deep face.
" What should we do now?"
Yelena asked him with anxiety, knowing most of the holy kingdom's higher-ups didn't like other races due to their past conflict.
