Chapter 199: Chapter 7 Desert

The sand vultures circled the corpses of monsters in the desert, waiting for their chance to have a decent meal in the afternoon. Their wings were so huge that they were able to cover quite a big area, showing their wings were no joke. Despite being a bird, their feathers were strong as steel and they were notorious for their intelligence.
" Aha, there must be a water source since the corpse is from the iron camel. They are hard to tame and they are quite tough animals. However, once you know their habits, you would try to tame them and use their advantages for yourself."
Agam explained, pointing at the giant oasis near the corpse, but when he got close to the oasis he took out his sword and threw daggers from his pocket as he threw them to the tree near the water source.
SHRIEK*
The palm tree let out a sharp cry, changing its shape to a big mantis with green scythes and a brown body. Its glossy eyes locked on the man who wounded his body.
" Interesting, I know monsters and animals have natural camouflage abilities, but I never thought they would morph into different living beings."
Licht stood next to him, pulling out his sword. Agam wanted to say something, but he stopped his mouth moving when he thought about the moment in which he was scammed. He couldn't hide his mischievous side as he just sat idly.
" Ah, I wanted to hunt it, but it is Lili's prey."
Cynthia sighed, looking a little sad about it. Others just stood there motionlessly, knowing this would end in one result and that happened instantly.

The sword let out the bright golden flame that burned the insect, making it cry out with pain. It tried to burrow under the ground using its claws, but before he could do that Licht severed his limbs cleanly. He pierced his giant head with his sword, making the sand bloodied with green blood.
" Ew!"
Once again Cynthia showed her disgust while Leah took a sample of this insect to study its organic body. She saw it had a tough carcass and its claws were no joke even though he was killed by Licht in a split of a moment.
" You have to be joking with me!"
Agam closed his wide mouth, looking between Licht and his teammates to question their identities. He was sure that the insect was at least a rank 4 or 5 insect with defense-type abilities, yet he slashed him like it was nothing and he even used magic with it which meant he was a rare magic swordsman. Moreover, he seemed to be hiding his full strength from him and that made him curious about this young man.
" Ah, since you stole my spotlight I will honor you to be the first person who will drink this water. Don't water it is perfectly safe to drink as it is and you won't have any diarrhea like other continent water because this water is blessed by the gods of this continent."
Agam said, giving him a bowl filled with water. The water looked crystal clear and Licht could feel a subtle amount of mana from it which was quite interesting. Looking back at the events, even monsters had divine energy or mana of nature inside them. Hence, they were stronger than any continent's monsters.
Licht gulped down the water, feeling the cool sensation in his throat that chased away the dry air of the desert. He could tell his body was enjoying this particular water and it was different from the cold water of the north. It was full of life and blessings from the gods.
" Mm, it is like a mana potion, but the effect is weak. Wow, I never thought we would get natural mana potion."
Cynthia chimed in with sparkling eyes, she took out a vial from her backpack and carefully collected a sample to use for her alchemy study. As a mage mana potion was an essential item for them to have and this continent seemed to be full of such rare material.
" Indeed, a land of treasure. Even a simple oasis like this is filled with a great amount of power."
Daemon admired the land, feeling awe of such a grand place. He couldn't fathom what would await them in the capital where the best gathered.
