Chapter 46: Chapter 41 We are partners
" Hendrick Windsor is your father?! That guy who knows everything but a woman."
Greia said surprise on her face because she remembered that man so vividly. He was an iron-willed knight who worked for his country without any rewards. Moreover, he was known for his sharp swordsmanship that cuts everything in its way.
" Yes. My mom said the same, she said father was a dumb guy who couldn't understand women."
Cynthia smiled with a bright expression. Although she loves her father, she also loved to talk about his past.
30 minutes have passed since Greia rescued them from the trolls. She returned to her settlement with them with no problem thanks to her immense power.
" Ma'am, we have received other guests."
The guard said with a respectful tone as he bowed down. He glanced at Lisha who was behind her to warn her because he was the guard who didn't go with her.
Lisha saw his sweaty forehead and guessed his intentions to appease her. She nodded at him to relax since it was no big deal for her.
" Mother, can we talk privately in your hut?"
Lisha said while looking at her with a serious gaze. Greia noticed her looks and suspected something as she yawned. Her gauntlets made a crackling sound to ward off the guard.
" Let's go to my hut first."
Greia said while throwing them down on the ground without any care since they were already intermediate or advanced leveled figures hence it was no big deal for them to be thrown.
Lisha nudged Licht's sleeves and pointed to the hut. Licht nodded and followed from the back with curiosity since it was the first time he was in the infamous northern tribes.
Jing*
Greia opened the entrance and headed towards the main seat. She sat on the seat and she adjusted her posture to be in a more comfortable position.
" Hmm, you two can talk now. I felt true ice power from your body earlier therefore don't try to fool me."
Greia spoke calmly as she raised her arms. She wasn't a fool who knows but to fight.
" Mother, I have made a pact with him. He is my closest aide from now on. You have to trust him. Besides, he got his power from the child of old God."
Lisha said, raising her head to meet her eyes. Greia was amused to see this side of her daughter because she was afraid of her. She always obeyed her mother yet this time she made such an important decision by herself to prove that she was independent.
" Is that so?"
Greia said while spinning a little dagger. She stopped her movements and focused on Licht's face.
Swoosh*
She threw a dagger with incredible force that even Lisha can't block, but surprisingly Licht blocked it. He blocked it with his sword as he stood tall.
" Good, a man must have a backbone. I like you boy. Although I gave her a mission to find her future allies, I have never thought she would be this bold. Thankfully, you are strong. You have stood against my attack."
Greia smiled with a gentle expression. She didn't pry into their relationship since she trusted her daughter's vision. She always believed in her because she had the greatest eyes, she have ever seen.
" Well, you haven't formed your weapon, right? Teach him to do that."
Greia continued with a sigh. She was too tired to meddle in their relationship. Moreover, she preferred a man who could handle her power since true ice was a fatal power that could kill a person who had low leveled power.
" Thank you, mom!"
Lisha said while dragging Licht who had a blank face. He somehow felt it wasn't simple as he thinks. Especially, Greia was grinning with that ominous look.
Thud*
Lisha bumped into a giant man as she left the hut. He was looking down at her with puzzlement.
" Vice-captain, what are you doing here? Who is this girl?"
Daemon asked with curiosity. However, his whole body was covered with blood and he smelled so bad that even Lisha frowned.
" Ah, she is Lisha. She will be our ally."
Licht said while dusting himself. He gestured for him to clean himself.
