Chapter 27: Chapter 24 Wolf and the prince story

Once upon a time, there was a prince who was lost in a desolate forest. He was a brave young boy who dared to venture into the cold and darkness with his tiny build.

Prince had walked through the snow to find his home, but the sky was getting darker and darker, and snow buried his footprints. He was lost in this forest without his guards and knights.

Even so, the young prince didn't fear the darkness. He carefully built an igloo because he heard that snow was a good material to build a hut in the north. He carefully put the snow together and turned it into a dome-like structure.

The prince was tired and hungry after this tiresome work. He looked around himself and gathered woods enough to light a little campfire. He used his magic to light the campfire. The fire slowly illuminated his igloo. Prince shriveled up near the fire to warm himself.

The prince fell into sleep after warming himself. Thankfully, he was witty enough to put more wood in the fire.

Growl*

Suddenly, he was woken up by a growl from another beast. It was a giant bear with crimson eyes. His hungry eyes were looking at his igloo as he swung his paw down.

Crash*

Igloo was crushed into pieces as it crumbled down. The young prince panicked. He was too close to it and he knew he couldn't use magic due to the distance between him. Therefore, the prince grabbed the branch near him and lit it up.

He swung his branch to the bear. Bear didn't mind it. He was looking at him with disdain that even a prince could see it.

Although the prince knew he would probably die, he charged toward the bear with fire in his hand.

His eyes were filled with courage and remorse.

Roar*

The bear struck down the prince easily. He slowly crept towards him and raised its face filled with bloodlust.

Awoo*

A single howl was heard in the dark. The bear looked at its surroundings with fear. It was afraid of the other beast.

Growl*

A single wolf came out from the forest. His blue eyes were glaring at the bear with a warning like it was saying back off.

The bear whimpered as he ran to the forest. He burst with incredible speed after witnessing the wolf's might.

Wolf looked at the young boy. His eyes were full of curiosity, and he calmly approached the boy and bit his clothes.

Swoosh*

He simply threw him on his back while he disappeared towards the darkness.

2 days have passed since the encounter between them. The kingdom was in dismay when the royal family was looking for their son. The King and the queen went hysterical the moment they heard their son was missing. They ordered their people to search every corner of their kingdom.

However, their search had halted when the prince came out from the forest with a single wolf. He was caring for this wolf like it was his best friend.

The king asked what happened, and the prince told his story except for the wolf's origin.

Later, that prince would turn into the best swordmaster in the world with the nickname ' Wolf King ' because he always traveled with his wolf.

The wolf shredded anyone in his path to protect its partner. The king also guarded the wolf throughout his life until he reached his end.

The king died when he reached his 70th birthday. Bizarrely the wolf disappeared after his death.

Present time.

Mikael and Licht were gathering the woods as they ventured into the forest. Mikael looked back at the pile of woods with a calm gaze.

" Vice-captain, I think we had collected enough for a few days. Let's head back."

Licht agreed with his words. He turned around and prepared himself to leave, but something terrible happened. A horrendous amount of energy was approaching them. Mikael's face turned pale whilst he drew his bow.

Licht pulled out his sword and prepared himself. His instincts were telling him to run, but he couldn't move at all. It was like his whole body was frozen in the icy sea.

Howl*

A single wolf approached them from the darkness. His blue eye was glowing brightly in the darkness.
