Licht didn't hesitate to throw in some olive branches because he believed he could potentially recruit more powerful people or those with great potential. Especially after seeing two siblings, Licht understood this place was a good place to recruit members in addition to guilds and taverns.
Most of the people with great power often travel lonely, so there is almost no chance to recruit them unless you get familiar with them or you offer them something they desire. However, in the slave market, they could recruit people with absolute loyalty or talent that were buried inside them.
Thus, he had to suppress his urge to destroy this place as he looked at Regina who was looking at him with the same gaze. They were proud knights and soldiers of Stormwind where they banned enslavement or any type of things like that. Even brothels were banned in the cities, making them one of the most reputable countries on the continent with their elite knights.
" You can look around the cages. Don't worry, we don't abuse our slaves because we believe owners should get them in their best condition."
The merchant rubbed his hands as he guided them through the cages. Each cage had different logos on their door, indicating what types of slaves were held in them. Sword-marked cages had combat slaves, the book was mages, glasses were either noble or scholars and lastly, pillow as sex slaves.
The former warriors had great physiques, but Regina and Licht weren't looking for them. They immediately scanned around to find craftsmen or support-type people, but there were only a handful amount of them and none of them were satisfactory.
" Looking at your eyes, I believe you are looking for support or craft-type slaves. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to get them and they are auctioned in the auction for their great abilities and utilities."
Merchant strokes his beard while explaining them with a smile. His fat face wrinkled, as the manager next to him coughed him to remind.
" Is that so? That is quite cumbersome. Do you have any recommendations?"
Licht asked calmly, looking at his eyes. Merchant didn't mind his glare because he understood they were knights and it was universal truth that most of them hated such things.
" I do have one good that I haven't shown you yet, but let me remind you that she is difficult. Her magical power and talent were enough to make her an expensive item but her personality was terrible. She even broke free of her collar and killed her last owner before he did his deed."
Merchant showed a troubled face, thinking it wasn't a good idea to sell her to them. Her face, body, and talent made her a gem but he couldn't tame her at all since she was kidnapped by humans. Besides, she even declared she would kill every person who bought her on her first night.
Regina and Licht didn't mind him because they were confident in their power and they were thinking of setting their slaves free. They would become one of their partners and even they chose to go to their home. They would allow them to do so since they believed it was the right thing.
The gloomy room with a dim light welcomed them as they entered. The cage was placed in the middle of the room and a petite figure sat right in the eyes of it. Her silver hair and emerald eyes coupled with her long ears told which race she belonged to and where she came from.
" You brought another one. I told you to free me!"
The elf got up from the ground and faced them, but soon her pupils shrunk when she saw Licht's face. Her mysterious eyes glinted, hiding her deep thoughts.
" I will buy her."
Licht didn't understand why he was feeling this close to this elf and why his power was reacting to her. He got the same feeling after getting ice power and bonding with Lisha, and this elf was the same. She was a node for his life and he perfectly knew it.
