The hall was shining with gold and jewelry. The jems and mana stones filled the room to show how wealthy was his kingdom. The knights were wearing new capes and armors to express their glorious look.
The soldiers were armed to their teeth with various new technologies. The people were cheering loudly under the sunlight to praise the new king. The streets were decorated with the emblem of the sword and spear, symbolizing the great power of the new kingdom. Mechanized units were patrolling the capital to prepare for the ceremony.
In the throne room, 5 figures were standing up still while clinking their glasses. Unlike nobles, they were brimming with power and intelligence.
" To the new king!"
Eldrich raised his glass and took a sip. Sweet taste of the wine hit his tongues as he enjoyed the wine. This wine was his best savings for this day.
" You sure know to enjoy hiding something from us, grand scholar. No, I should call you, Prime Minister now."
Ragnar said with respect since he knew how patriotic and heroic this man was. Besides, he was his senior and battled with him for many years.
" Ragnar, what will you do after taking the grand general position?"
Constantine asked, showing his interest in his matter. He knew Ragnar wasn't intelligent like him and Eldrich, but he had a vision unlike the former grand general. He was also adamant about the military system.
" I will clean out some things. There are a few rats hiding in the shadows, waiting for the end of the wave. I will swoop them in one single movement."
Ragnar spoke, showing his ferocity to the others. He wasn't merciful like his wife, he was willing to paint his hand with blood if they were for the new kingdom.
" That is a tough job. It might a few years of worth time to fix this mess. Although some nobles can be left, we can't ignore those old guys."
A man with a deep blue uniform spoke while glancing at the glass. His deep eyes showed his calm temperament and his strength. He was known as the duke of the north Marshal Edinburg. His spear technique was the strongest in the entire continent that's why he guards the monster and devil stream where monsters continously appear. Although it wasn't deadly as the gateway to nowhere, the northern glaciers had strong monsters that could shred level 5 or 6 mana users with ease.
" I thought you were willing hide yourself in the north after the passing of your brother. You really came from the hell."
An elderly man with a black mask said, showing his interest in his affairs. As the strongest assassin in the entire continent, he was very sensitive to the information networking, yet Marshal was able to get here without his knowledge.
" I had a new trump card, you see. How could I escape from your eyes, count Dion?"
Marshal replied calmly, knowing this man was interested in his personal experience. He was reluctant to join hands with him because he was an extremely tough person to deal unlike Eldrich and Ragnar. He was dark, gloomy and intangible person who worked like a shadow.
Constantine smiled after looking at their looks. He could see the absolutes of the kingdom had their own ways of handling. They were certainly peak powerhouses that looked above everyone else, but the job wasn't yet done.
Eldrich touched his monocle and looked around him with a serious look. He knew they were ready to show their fangs to the world.
" The coronation ceremony will be held this week. We must ensure safety of the king and the citizens while showing our might. The kingdoms will try to infiltrate as we are severely weakened now. We don't have any allies in this kind of event."
Eldrich warned them before spreading the map. He highlighted the few are, including slums in his map. He was telling them to closely monitor these areas since they were relatively easy to hide and cloak.
" Hmm, I will take care of the spies."
Dion said, putting his glass on the table. The strongest assassin household was willing to move for this event and cleaning was the best job for them.
