By the time they walked to Su Xiaoxue's house, it was already past 9 p.m. Wang Yao went in and stayed for a few minutes before leaving.

"Mom, here is some fruit I brought back especially for you," Su Xiaoxue said. "They were grown by Sir. They're delicious. Try it. Where is Auntie Lian? Ask her to have to taste too."

"Your Auntie Lian has something to do tonight," Song Ruiping said. "Did you have fun this time?"

"Yes I had fun," Su Xiaoxue said. "I attended the wedding of Wang Yao's older sister. I was supposed to be a bridesmaid, but I could not become one."

"Why?" Song Ruiping asked.

"Sir said that I was too beautiful after I put on the gown," Su Xiaoxue said. "He was afraid that I would be too dazzling and steal the limelight from his sister."

"Well, my daughter is so beautiful. She must be more beautiful in a gown," Song Ruiping said with a smile. "I think Wang Yao did right. On the day of marriage, the bride should be the main character."
