Elden Ring : a Tarnished of No Renown (Taking a break)

"Arise now, ye Tarnished! Ye dead who yet lives!"

This will be a fanfic of mine on Elden Ring, following the perspective of a player Tarnished named Sigurd.

I will be giving my own perspective (in first person) as well as my own theories in the lore of Elden Ring. Given how vagued the lore of this game is, I will try my best at staying lore accurate while adding in details of my own.

As for Melina in the story, she will be getting a perspective of her own as well as some side story for her. I find that she lacks a role in the main game's story so I wanted give her more of a role in it, even if it's fabricated from my own understanding of the story and her character.

As for the combat, well.... let's just say I'm not a big fan of the combat from the original game so I'm not going to make the Tarnished character fight by rolling around like a idiot.

Instead, he will be given different defensive maneuvers besides just rolling around.... which might resembles Sekiro's combat in some ways because Deflection will be the primary defense here instead of rolling around.

With all the information out of the way, let me as the author drop something here.... I highly recommend you to read this with Elden Ring's background music, especially during boss fights.

I want to capture not just the exposition of Elden Ring, but also the emotions and feelings that it made me feel. Things like frustration at Margit's super delayed attacks, or the awe of seeing Limgrave for the first time, etc. Hope you'll enjoy my result!
