Chapter 7: It's Judgement!
It feels like a war here—no, it is war. What I don't understand is why mother was so angry about attacking us, I thought it was normal for animals to fight for food and territory but to be so angry and to start a large-scale attack.
I know Mother is not stupid, so what's happening here, anyway?
After fighting a lot, I found a squad of my siblings and went with them. Even though all that fighting, I can't handle this all alone. I'm not some broken character that gets exceedingly strong after a chapter or two. I'm just a snaked-turned human.
The mental exhaustion has reached my limit and the food is not helping. My older brother realized this and he seems to have closed his eyes and after a while, he opened it once again.
It was when I was called back by Mother with a tingling in my head to come back home. I looked back at older sibling to see him smile and nod slowly...
Now that you think about it, I never thought about communicating with the other snakes. I was only communicated and not the one to communicate, I didn't even know you can do that.
Wait, so does that mean I was that emo kid that doesn't talk to anybody? Or am I that cool kid that is too cool to talk to someone? Either two is bad, communication is key here since we don't have a language to use with.
How about I try it, communicating.
How do I do it, again? No one's taught me this, damn it!
Focus and maybe imagine mom? Hmmmmm, let's close our eyes and... hmmm. If I use that tingling sensation, should I do it like this?
"Mom?" I whispered in my own thoughts. There was total silence and I was about to get annoyed. I don't even know how this whole shenanigan works! Oh well, I'll just solve this when I get there.
I followed Mother's scent with my tongue and I arrived on the hole where we came out from. The broken boulder was still there and there seem to be no rats. That's weird, they could have used this path to attack.
I shrugged it off and thought that they didn't find it yet. I entered the path and I returned back to mom's room to hear loud hissing from my siblings. They all lined up and all from my siblings to the eldest who was guarding Mother—they were all hissing.
Are they mad? Are they gonna eat me?
I looked at one of my siblings that were born the same day with me and she seems to be blushing. What's up with that? I then looked at my older siblings to see him smiling and nodded his head towards Mother.
It seems like they want me to go to Mother. I gulped as only her presence was terrifying. I wasn't afraid of her before the fight but when she released that anger, I knew that she could kill me without even knowing. That's how powerful I felt she is.
She pulled her head to me once again when she touched my forehead with hers. I was startled as I felt a sudden headache—it was like my mind is expanding, turning one with the universe.
Before I even knew it, my jaw dropped and something incredible happened.

I was surprised but with the accomplishment that I gained, it seems my dread of being killed disappeared. It wasn't that I was expecting to be killed, but the aura Mother made a while when she was angry. My thought of her was like a never-ending rampage of beasts in one body.
She landed her tail on my side and I looked at her. She nodded and I slithered on top of her tail, bringing me to a place that seems to have a bed and a lot of food—rodents, damn it!
I knew it was a bed because it was like those pits that snakes always use. They used the eggs that we were born with as a mattress because I remembered them being a little squishy and not that hard.
Finally, rest!

I slept comfortably on my bed when I woke up hours later. Wait, how do I know that? I've been saying one day later or an hour after that but I never really seen the sun once. Is it those Psychological Clock that animals have?
I mean, do you ever wonder how those creatures that only stay underground and leave in the night? Like, they know what time to leave and what time to hide again. I feel like we have those. I even know it's somewhere between 5-6 PM—see???
Anyway, back to the topic. I woke up hours later to see one of the elder snakes disappeared. Now that you think about it, didn't they simultaneously attack with us? They were there when I returned and the other one seems to be missing.
Huh?...

I was staring at one of my elder siblings to see some text floating beside them. I stared at my mother, then to my elder siblings, then to my siblings. I was surprised as this was too game-like.
I remembered mother's gift—is this its power?
My siblings were named [Lesser Serphedia] and my older siblings were named [Great Serphedia]. I looked at myself using my tail and I seem to have the same as my siblings.

Now my mother, she really has a really grand name. Her name was [Serphedia Queen LV.16].
So I was right! She was a SHE! Haha!
Ehem! She's currently at level 16 and she is the only one in this room that has a single-digit level. All of my siblings here, who I will now call: The Lesser, The Great, and The Greater—are all level below 10. The highest, being at the 9th level. (That was a lot of numbers.)
I wanna call Mother the same since I'm already comfortable saying it.
Wait, isn't this useful for identifying the enemy? I don't have to name it Big Rodents or Fire Rodents anymore, they must have a unique name!
