Chapter 54: Menace

Deep at night the next day, Scarlett and Ethan were out in the Black Forest, having teleported there while no one noticed. 

Even the Storm Dream Patriarch wouldn't just be waiting for them here, so they were not that afraid.

Ethan was lying on the black grass on the ground and looking up at the moon. Scarlett was in her Fairy Form and resting above his chest like a queen slumping on her throne. She looked like the laziest slob out there to anyone with eyes. Often, she would sneeze cutely in her little form, and Ethan would give her a little piece of tissue.

Then, he would stop and look at her as she wiped her nose and threw the piece away. It was a very amusing and cute sight. 

"Ethe, stop staring at me and think," she said, looking up at the round moon and lying on his chest. "We didn't just come out here to see the moon and bond like this."

Ethan blinked. "…What animal do I want to bind with, huh?"
