Chapter 33: Rating game [04]

Riser, feeling satisfied with his girls' performance, decides it's time to have some fun. He opens his fiery wings and soars above the buildings, observing the arena.

While flying, Riser notices two men walking through the arena streets. He decides to approach them, flying towards them. The men, realizing Riser's imposing presence, prepare for an attack.

With a confident smile, Riser says, "Too late." He hurls a fireball towards the men, catching them off guard. They are left stunned as the flames hit them head-on.

Before anything worse could happen, the men are teleported. Serafall announces, "Bishop and Knight from Hisoka's team have been eliminated."

Riser, with a satisfied smile, thinks to himself, "Still, Hisoka and the Queen remain. Can't wait to see that clown's expression when I finish him."

However, Riser also feels a twinge of irritation remembering the first encounter with Hisoka. The way the clown spoke to him didn't sit well, intensifying his determination to defeat the opponent.

Occult Research Club

Rias, observing the arena, comments to Akeno, "Akeno, what do you think of the Rating Game so far? Riser and his girls' performance is incredible."

Akeno, thoughtful, replies, "Indeed, Rias, I have to admit, not only Riser but his Peerage is quite strong. They're doing really well."

Rias agrees, "It's impressive. I never thought I'd say this about Riser, but they are showing considerable strength."

Akeno smiles, "Sometimes, it's good to acknowledge when the opponent is doing well. We're here to compete, after all."

Rias, reflecting on Akeno's words, agrees, "You're right. Now, it's just the showdown with Hisoka." Her expression becomes somewhat complicated.

Noticing Rias's expression, Akeno asks, "Any problem, Rias?"

Rias sighs, "I don't like admitting it, but the reasons I had for disliking Riser seem to have disappeared. I can evaluate him more impartially now."

Issei, uncomfortable with the situation, comments, "I'm not liking this at all. Riser may be strong, but it's nothing I can't overcome."

Rias looks at him with a thoughtful expression, "Issei, Riser's strength is undeniable. We must face reality."

Issei, irritated, grumbles, "Still, I don't like seeing you two admiring Riser."

Rating Game Arena

Hisoka, irritated, observes the arena after his Peerage members' defeat. Gon, his Queen, stands by his side, sensing the fury in Hisoka's eyes.

Analyzing Hisoka's expression, Gon thinks to himself, "Damn, all my comrades were defeated. Hisoka-sama won't be pleased with this."

Hisoka, frustrated, doesn't hide his irritation. Determined to restore his master's honor, Gon thinks, "Damn Phenex, how did he allow Hisoka-sama to become like this? I'll defeat him and show that we are strong."

Gon can't help but recall the past when Hisoka chose him to be part of the Peerage. Back then, he was just a scared child, but over the years, under Hisoka's guidance, he grew into a strong man.

In his thoughts, Gon acknowledges, "Hisoka-sama has been like a father to me. Even if I never said it, he's the father I never had."

Hisoka, noticing the determination in Gon's eyes, finally breaks his silence, "Gon, it seems we'll have to fight with everything we have. We can't disappoint those who trusted us."

Gon, looking at Hisoka with determination, replies, "Yes, Hisoka-sama. Let's show everyone what we are capable of."

While observing Gon, Hisoka internally smiles. He recognizes that Gon has matured enough to understand the truth behind his care over the years. With a gentle smile, Hisoka decides to reveal his feelings.

Looking into Gon's eyes, Hisoka says, "Gon, you've grown a lot since I chose you for my Peerage. Perhaps it's time to share the real reason I've looked after you all these years."

Surprised, Gon asks, "Real reason? Hisoka-sama, why did you take care of me?"

Hisoka was about to speak when Riser appeared. Interrupting the moment, Riser says, "Sorry to interrupt your moment, Hisoka, but we have unfinished business."

Gon looks at Riser with anger, fists clenched. Hisoka, maintaining composure, replies, "We'll have to save this conversation for later, Gon."

Gon, expressing his dissatisfaction, says, "Yes, Hisoka-sama."

Riser, looking at Hisoka with a challenging smile, comments, "Seems like your Peerage isn't as invincible as you thought, Hisoka."

Hisoka, staring at Riser intensely, responds, "It's not over yet, Riser."

Observation Room

Serafall, excited, exclaims, "Finally, the battle has reached its climax, and Riser-chan is going to finish off Hisoka. Can't wait to see how it unfolds!"

Sona sighs, concerned about the impartiality of the situation.

Sona says, "Serafall, you are the referee of the match and a Maou; you have to show impartial behavior towards the competitors."

Sticking out her tongue, Serafall says with a mischievous smile, "I don't have to do any of that. Riser-chan is your husband and my brother-in-law. I have the right to cheer for him."

Sona, with a serious look, responds, "Being impartial is part of the responsibility of being a referee. Regardless of personal relationships, you must ensure that the rules are followed."

Serafall, making a playful face, says, "Oh, Sona, always so serious. I'm just adding some excitement!"

Grayfia, who was silently observing, intervenes, "Sona-sama is correct. Impartiality is crucial for the integrity of the Rating Game."

Sona thanks Grayfia with a nod.

Serafall, still smiling provocatively, comments, "And you, Grayfia-san? I'm quite sure that when Riser-chan fought Rias, you were the referee, and I have my suspicions that you were cheering for Rias."

Grayfia remains silent, unsure of what to say, acknowledging the truth in Serafall's words.

Sirzechs, noticing Grayfia's silence, interjects, "It's better to drop this subject and focus on the Rating Game."

Serafall, still smiling, says, "You're right, Sirzechs-san. Relax, Grayfia, I was just teasing."

Sona, with a serious expression, comments, "If you wanted to watch your husband's victory, Serafall, then look at the arena because it's about to happen."

Shifting her focus to the arena, Serafall comments, "Ah, true. Let's see how Riser-chan handles Hisoka. Can't wait!"
