"Is it to your liking?" asked Light, curious.
With a slight nod as she savored another bite, Asia wordlessly confirmed it.
She swallowed before allowing a satisfied smile to bloom on her face. "It's wonderful!" exclaimed Asia. "The cuisine here really is incredible."
"I'm glad you're enjoying it," Light said with a smile of agreement. "Really, the food is first class. Let's make a habit of it."
Light's enthusiasm lit an extra sparkle in Asia's eyes, bringing her a warm feeling of satisfaction.
'Will he invite me again?" she wondered inwardly, holding back a smile.
Although the anticipation enveloped her, she chided herself for being too ambitious and decided to revel at the moment, continuing to enjoy her meal without thinking about what the future might bring.
After dinner and settling the bill, Light and Asia made their way to a more private place.
"Asia-chan, let me hold your waist so we can fly together to the abandoned church, okay?" Light suggested with an inviting look.
"Yes, Light-sama," Asia consented, smiling affably and a little embarrassed, keeping her eyes fixed on Light.
Without delay, Light metamorphosed into a dazzling beam of light and suddenly a pair of radiant wings sprouted on his back, stretching four meters. With that, they set off towards the forgotten church.
Asia's eyes sparkled, reflecting the magic of the moment and her face showed naive surprise. Her heart was racing, driven not only by the thrill of the flight but also by the presence of Light, for whom she had a growing admiration and affection. Clinging tightly to Light, she trusted in his protection and marveled at the unique sensation of being lifted off the ground and carried through the air.
Minutes later, they reached the abandoned church.
Landing on the ground, Light released Asia. Together, they worked on building a barrier around the church before starting to train.
After they had done so, Light said: "Asia-chan, this time I'm going to train you. And it's going to be a bit different from before. I want you to attack me with all your strength as if your life depended on it."
"I don't know if I can..." Asia murmured.
Asia's whisper was full of hesitation and her gaze, which oscillated between determination and doubt, revealed the inner turmoil she was facing.
Seeing this, Light said: "Asia, you need to be ready to fight if necessary, and dueling against me is also a way of preparing you. Besides, it will be more productive for training your Haki. And, well, it's better to show than to tell."
Suddenly, a golden medallion materialized in Light's palm and began to spin. Light, with a decisive gesture, threw it towards Asia.
Asia, taken by surprise, but without suspecting any malevolent intentions on Light's part, remained motionless, making no attempt to dodge.
When the medallion touched her skin, it triggered a metamorphosis in her dress. The shadows of the dark green fabric gave way to a spectacle of light and color, with luminescent patterns that evoked starlight. The simple collar became a neckline that precisely delineated its shape, adorned with shiny details that resembled constellations.
The once modest dress now boasted a structured and modern silhouette, with translucent layers that flowed like waves of a nocturnal ocean, accentuating her slender figure. Asia's straight blonde hair shone with a light of its own, and her emerald eyes became beacons of light, reflecting the mystical blue of the transformed outfit.
Asia was incredulous; a new force pulsed inside her, more powerful than she had ever felt.
As she moved her hands, the sleeves of her newly acquired dress rippled elegantly, resembling translucent wings adorned with a luminous pattern that drew its way to the delicate edges, almost touching the ground. The sleeves enveloped her in an aura of nobility and fascination, finishing off the metamorphosis with a splendor worthy of a deity.
"Light-sama..." Asia murmured, her eyes twinkling in pure amazement. "This is wonderful!"
Watching her so perplexed, and although he himself was surprised by the transformation, he couldn't hold back an endearing smile.
"I'm glad you like it," he declared. "With this, you'll have more strength to compete with me; as well as being able to train for longer periods and access a power that would normally be out of your reach."
Light's intention was transparent; he intended to use the situation as a test to measure whether Asia could enhance his training and, in parallel, how he himself would benefit from facing a strengthened Asia.
"I understand," she said. "I'll do my best!"
With determination, Asia clasped her small, delicate hands, hidden by her long sleeves, into firm fists.
"Wait, there's more," Light announced. "Activate your Sacred Gear."
"Okay..." Confused but obedient, Asia activated her power.
She held up her hands to keep her sleeves away and not obstruct her hands.
When Twilight Healing manifested, Light materialized two other medallions, similar to the first.
With a gesture, he directed it towards the rings of Asia, and then a transformation took place. It wasn't just any change, but a qualitative evolution, radiating an intense green healing light.
An aura of the same color enveloped Asia's body.
"Impressive," Light commented, then murmured reflectively: "Just as I suspected, it also affects the Sacred Gear..."
"That's..." Asia was stunned, speechless.
Light's powers were incredible!
"Try making a small cut in your finger," instructed Light.
"Right." Asia, undaunted by the pain, bit her index finger, and the blood barely began to flow before it was reabsorbed.
"Wow!"
Asia exhaled, amazed. She had never healed so quickly.
Previously, her Sacred Gear, Twilight Healing, hadn't been able to heal her with the same speed as it healed others, but now the healing was instantaneous, faster than when she healed someone...
The sensation of pain disappeared as quickly as it had appeared, leaving her perplexed, wondering if she had really hurt her finger.
In the solemnity of the abandoned church, moonlight seeped through the shattered windows, setting a natural stage for Light and Asia's training session. He assumed the nonchalant posture of one who has mastered his art, watching Asia get into position, her feet barely brushing the worn flagstones of the floor.
"Focus on your inner self," Light instructed, "Haki is the projection of your spirit."
With a nod, Asia closed her eyes and searched for the hidden force that Light had mentioned. She was still learning, her concentration fluctuating like a candle in the wind, yet a spark of resolution shone in her, impervious to her novice condition.
The intensity of the training increased; they began a friendly combat. Light launched measured attacks, where every action was a lesson. Asia, albeit in an incipient way, defended herself driven by instinct, with rustic reflexes that evolved with each dodge and counterattack.
Light applied his Haki with almost surgical precision, brushing against Asia's arm or shoulder, demarcating where an effective impact would reach her. "Understand the rhythm of the confrontation, anticipate it," he suggested.
With deep breaths, Asia began to assimilate. Gradually, she anticipated Light's movements, an indication that her perception of latent power was growing. She was already able to block or deflect some of Light's more measured attacks, and her self-confidence was growing in step with her development.
"You're doing very well, Asia-chan," praised Light, as Asia deftly dodged an attack and reached for his shoulder in reply. "You're getting the hang of it."
"Yes!" Asia's excitement was ignited by his recognition.
They continued in the meantime, the back and forth of offense and defense weaving a balance between the gravity of training and the casualness of a game.
