The Great War. The battle, in which countless died. Suffered. The conflict that caused the bloodbath of millions. Reasons, that would make them shake their heads in disappointment. Greed? Fear? Perhaps so.

However, even then - why? What would make the leaders of each race, so desperate to kill their own brethren so meaninglessly? To trudge on, despite the sacrifices made.

Even if they refused to admit, they knew very well, deep in their hearts, that it was due to the overwhelming guilt of betraying the one that saw the light within. Their Creator. Their God.

For such a petty reason, they murdered him. His body, sat upon a hill in solitariness. In loneliness. Even at his last breath, he never despised those that feared him. Hated him. The only thoughts that rang incessantly wuthun his ears were the survival of the imperfections that tread the world.

The beings, he created to be his children. His heart. His blood. His flesh. Knowing very well, the danger humanity would face, regardless of the creation of Sacred Gears, he used his last bits of power to protect. To create. Even if it may plunder him of his existence.

Thus, with his last, bated breath - that confirmed that even death could reap Gods, he created one final life. A man, in the image of himself.

The man - who would be known as Humanity's Progenitor. As well as it's final ember.
