Aleena sat on the damp ground, her trembling hands brushing against the wet earth. The rain soaked through her robes, but she seemed unaware of it, her gaze distant and unfocused.

"The gods," she murmured, her voice soft but steadying as she gathered herself. "I saw their presence."

The group fell silent, the sound of the rain pattering against leaves was the only noise.

"What do you mean?" Edward asked, his tone sharper than he intended. "What exactly did you see?"

Aleena looked up at him, her expression etched with awe and uncertainty. "I couldn't see their faces. They were cloaked in light, shrouded in a radiance too bright for me to discern any details. But their presence was undeniable. I felt it." She placed a hand over her heart. "It wasn't just a vision, it was as if they were here, watching us, intervening."

"Intervening?" Cyrus echoed, his voice sceptical but curious.
