Chapter 310: Nightflyers

After witnessing how the snake exploded into bits leaving no trace behind, Sam remained confounded in place, but that wasn't the case for Uriel. Instead, he hurried over to the map and asked Sam to mark the spot where the doll exploded, as well as mark their own location. Uriel then connected the dots with a thread and projected a straight line that seemingly went nowhere while mumbling unintelligible stuff to himself.

"What got into him?" Sam asked, knowing full well that whenever Uriel focused on a task like that, asking him any questions was completely pointless.

Uriel spent a good ten minutes staring at the map with a blank expression. He seemed to be completely still, almost like a statue, but inside his mind all his gears were spinning fast trying to make connections between his knowledge in archaeology and his experiences as a hunter.
