Chapter 121: Bathing together

For some time now, the Marquis had been covering up one event after another, trying to hide his embarrassment at his son's actions. Even though he had been able to conceal the debts, it was only a matter of time until all was revealed. The debts continued to mount.

The idea of marrying into a family like that was troubling, but Raven knew it wasn't his problem.

He could see the selfish motives driving the Count, but as long as Seraphina stayed by his side, he didn't care much. He felt a bit sorry for Lady Alaric, but that was as far as his sympathy went. The people who had hurt Seraphina didn't deserve any mercy...

Raven was scanning the bookshelf when he noticed a slightly open drawer with an odd scent coming from it. His hand moved towards it almost on its own.

"What's this?" he muttered, puzzled.
